just my two cents. i think globe and smart should charge gprs on a monthly basis and mms on a per use basis. charging both on a per use basis is excessive, like for ex when u send an mms, may charge na for the mms itself then the gprs pa. whew!

@odyig, that would be *nice*, but i dont think it would ever happen. The system will be open for abuse (remember the SMS boom before?), and I dont think Globe would have the infrastructure or the capacity for such a plan. It's more likely that it's gonna be something like pay what you use system.

@gowin i guess you're right. but kung puwede sana e yun muna ang payment scheme nila coz ilan pa lang naman ang meron ng mms/gprs enabled phones. i think mms wont go mainstream till next year.

i dont think that MMS would go mainstream at all. (not in the immediate 2-3 years, that is). you need cheap handsets, infrastructure, and win-win pricing scheme

exactly! that's why globe/smart can't put a high price tag on these services bec the demand for it is still minimal. globe/smart have a lot to learn from japan's nttdocomo.
