alanjrobertson, my bad...missed that.

No idea then why he get's that message. But that's not surpising, I'm still not up to speed on the ins and outs of flashing and branding.

@mwarner - on the front page it says that unbranded phone work on SEUS - is that definitely the case? It seems that certainly recently it hasn't been happening.

Cheers

When I do a firmware update, do I need to take my memory stick card out or I can leave it there?

One more thing, do all the firmware updates really make the phone better then it was before? I did un upgrade on my K750 from R1J002 to the latest one and can't really see any differences, or maybe I'm just not smart enough to see them

After the upgrade I had to hold the boot button really long, I got even scared for a second there, thought some thing went wrong lol.

Thanks in advance

Not allways.
The only changes between R1J and the present R1L were some GPRS issues for certain networks, nothing else.
If you were not on these networks you will se no differences.

@numb, there were more changes than just gprs. I can confirm that the audio output is greater in R1L compared to R1J. There are other things I noticed -

1. Updated software from R1J002 to R1L002.
2. mediaplayer louder and clearer than R1J
3. Task button now clears screensaver
4. I had a problem on the previous software with contacts synchronising - it would only work from phone to pc, not the other way. This is now fixed (I tried a master reset before updating, but that didn't help, so decided to go the full hog and update).
5. Menu smoother
6. Saving photo to memory stick is heaps quicker
7. The auto focus beep is a lot quieter
8. And the phone seems more stable than it was under R1J

The video player quality loss from R1A to R1J has not been restored in R1L (we all kow that, damn!)

@CoolMeEddy, when I updated, the memory stick was in the phone (SE didn't say anything about removing it). After the update the memory stick was unable to be read by the phone (although the mass storage driver in windows could read it fine) and had to be formatted before it could be used again by the phone. So maybe just save any stuff on there, just in case.

i have upgraded my k750i to w800i today and the phone is running very well, the speed has improved comparing to R1J002, the media player is very fine but camera has the same 4.4 software that is a downgrade comparing to 3.8 from R1A044 .In conclusion i wish never have been done any upgrade at this phone. R1J044 is the best firmware so far for k750 adi-ROMANIA

Any word on the quality issues with the pictures and video? Seems like SE has layed the k750 on the shelfs, no new firmware for a long time now? It doesn't take months to increase some quality settings, it takes seconds...
