I don't think it should be locked...it's only the individuals who are making this thread so pathetic. Complaining about how peterkay is always posting here...yeah I agree that he posts a lot, but I for one LIKE IT and no-one is stopping others from posting about THEIR religion, quoting from THEIR religious books are they? Talk about your religion, ask questions about other religions (without sarcasm) and get answers, that's what this thread should be about...

exactly,
Why lock a thread because of a few individuals that can't show a bit of respect?
(insert your own analogy here)

No need to lock this thread just cos a few people want it to be locked by using silly childish pictures and stupid words. They want it locked by their actions but we will not stoop to their level.
Verse 131 from Chapter 3 states:
To Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth. Verily we have directed the People of the Book before you, and you (O Muslims) to fear Allah. But if ye deny Him, lo! unto Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth, and Allah is free of all wants, worthy of all praise.

if you think it should be locked then I'd suggest that means you no longer have an interest in the thread and I'd recommend anyone who is not interested in any thread should not feel the need to post there
This has been the most successful and friendly religious discussion thread and I'm not about to let it be spoiled.
lets get back on the topic of religion now and cease this off topic discussion. I will be removing any posts that are not discussing religion in a mature and adult manner

If it's not religious, then take it elsewhere please.

...and that IS the nature of religion. Some people have strong religious convictions and some live their life wholly by their faith.
Although I have done catechism when I was young, I'm really not very religious myself so cannot add much to this discussion, but I do have some basic understanding of how contencious religion can be.
The best we can do here is be tolerant of other peoples views and discuss them in a mature way without resorting to immature posts meant to provoke a reaction.
In fact that is something we should be always doing here, not just in hot topics like this.

Hard proof, well just look at the sky and think who created it, just look at the trees standing firm, just look at the clean water we drink, just look at the sun, the moon, the flowers, the human creation, the air we breath (we do not see what we breath but we know its there). In the same manner God almighty exists but we do not see him. This is why he sent messengers on this earth to tell us about him and his being and his creation and the life hearafter.
Verses 36-40 from Chapter 36 states:
Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own human kind and other things of which they have no knowledge.
And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;
And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of Him, the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.
And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions to traverse till she returns like the old and withered lower part of a date-stalk.
It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each just swims along in its own orbit according to Law.
