We ought t see something of recent Sony handsets in the new Bond as it is a Sony Pictures movie but I suspect that with their filming schedule it would likely be Xperia S, P and U we'll see. I just doubt that they had a Hayabusa proto is a final/decided design before the filming started last year.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

It's like nozomi (lt26i) and Aoba (lt28at) I think...

Where did you get that from ? Most likely that info is correct. But still I wish Hayabusa had a larger screen to compete with One X and GS3
Rumored Hayabusa specs (Would be great if Rog could confirm/deny these specs, especially about AMOLED screen)
4.3 inch 720 x 1196 AMOLED screen
1 GB RAM
1.5 ghz MSM 8960 + Adreno 225
Android 4.0.3
13 megapixel Auto Focus Camera with 1080p video
32 GB ROM + MicroSd expansion
eDream7 Interface
NFC

HTC ONE XL already has the main specs and is going to be released in current month
Hayabusa needs to has a key feature (not a high mpxl camera) above HTC ONE XL

Single channel memory is Tegra's 3 bottleneck. That's why MSM-8960 is so much better. Exynos benchmark results/performance will be much higher than Tegra's. |

Nobody here is denying that the Samsung Exynos will benchmark better than the Tegra 3. But how much better will it be ? In many applications Krait S4 is significantly faster than Tegra 3. Now this, when I am using the HTC One S as reference. The Sony hayabusa will definitely be much better in performance than the One S as we have seen in case of S3 XS/Htc Sensation XE.
So even if Samsung Exynos Quad Core is significantly better, its not very likely to beat the hayabusa. And plus the battery life on the exynos is gonna be much worse no doubt. |

Remember, the One S uses a qHD screen, and hayabusa is going to have a 720p. I know it might not differ much, but that factor might be the reason why One S edges One X out on some benchmark scores.

So as far as current information goes, the Hayabusa will be powered by the Krait S4 processor. What about Mint? Since Sony won't be outing a quad core this year, is it worth our time speculating whether the Mint will sport the S4 Pro, essentially the same processor but with the Adreno 320 GPU?

Karun, both the Hayabusa and Mint will feature the same CPU MSM8960 with Adreno 225 GPU. No s4 PRO phone from Sony.
This was mentioned by unknown13x and also Rog kinda confirmed that yesterday

I still think its unlikely that they will use a 4.3 amoled display. Samsung has had a lot of problems creating amoled with 720p without pentile and their screens are bigger. Samsung should be leading in amoled development considering how much they invest in it. Hopefully it will be a white magic display at least |

Rumors of the SGS3 GPU benchmarks, beats S4 and Tegra 3, and is a match for iPhone 4S.

The 2xA15 cores can beat 4xA9 cores.. but in real world the different is larger.. why ?
because not so many apps are designed to benefit from 4 cores... they still need some time to get the quadcore benefit at it's full... sure NVIDIA has TegraZone which holds some titles.. but these are not that much compared to the whole amount of apps you have...
By the time the Quad optimized software are growing you will already have Quad A15 cores and more... as it will take time and personally I see Quad A15 SoC's are more likley to hit tablets mostly..

There really is no point arguing. Who really cares if GS3 is faster by a hair ? The difference between Htc One X, GS3, Xperia Hayabusa and other flagship handsets in benchmarks is gonna be minimal. No phone will be more than 10% slower/faster overall.
But in terms of real world performance we can be sure that the Hayabusa will trump all other flagship handsets as we have seen how good Sony engineers are at optimizing software.
I really don't care if Samsung is gonna beat krait performance or not, all I know is the Hayabusa is gonna be way better looking than samsung crap GS3, is gonna have a much nicer screen, will have a pleasing UI, much better user experience, and a better camera. |

With the current gpu benchmark, gs3 scored 40% higher than one s, beats iphone4s and one x by a very good margin. Moreover, Sony seems to have delayed xperia p and u, It just looks like they well be too late and outdated this year too! If sony gets the s4 with Adreno 320, then thats a diffrent story, otherwise in terms of gpu, its a lost battle.

Thanks Randomuser.
I guess I missed Rog's post. So do we have anything concrete about the hayabusa/mint?
