Yes, you are right about that. But are the X8 and, X10 mini and X10 mini Pro can be considered as smartphone like the Spica?

Looks pretty close enough to me.
What exactly are you rambling on about? |

They are not competing in the smartphone arena? What are the minis, the pros and the X series then?
Well the X10 mini and Nokia X6 sell for about the same price here and just yesterday a guy in my office bought the X6 because the X10 mini's screen was too small.
The X10 has a bigger screen but is more expensive (~12%) than the Milestone and i8910. |

SE making "nexus 2"?
Okey I didnt think to much about it when I read a big Swedish newspaper for engineers a couple of days ago. They were interviewing both CTOs for Ericsson and SE about their presence in silicon valley and how important that was.
(link to article http://www.nyteknik.se/nyhete[....]om/mobiltele/article434831.ece )
In it they say SE value googles partnership especially with their upcoming phone which will be developed closely with google. I thought about making a thread about it when I saw it but newspapers usually misinterpret things like this and probably got it all wrong. Working closely could mean just using android or something.
I forgot all about it but today I read on a Swedish android site someone claiming to know someone inside SE saying that nexus 2 is developed by no other than SE! Things like this cant be that strange. I mean someone here (in sweden and hanging on tech-sites) gotta know someone in SE, the country aint that big...
All this together with Bert saying that they were asked before makes me a believer!
What do you say, coincidence?

Well they declined to make the Nexus One. I suppose they saw that it would be better if they did do the Nexus Two. Chances are that they'll release a super similar SE version like HTC did and the money can't hurt.

Well, I am really frustrated with the way Sony Ericsson misses all their potential. The upcoming iPhone will be better in any way compared to X10, except for the camera. And it is available - unlike the X10 update several month away. But instead we will not see any more high end Cybershots? No Satio (which acually is the closest thing to a cybershot they ever built) successor as well - this one was introduced in February last year and not available till quarter 4 last year. The camera still found no real match so far but the OS feels just like ancient.
I want a great camera with flash AND a good smartphone. So what is the big deal getting out a Satio II - could have the same camera only with HD video, a faster processor and Android. If Android is still not ready for such a camera (I have no idea) they might wait for the next Symbian - so we could have a Satio II ready for Xmas. But Satio and X10 both had well over half a year between announcement and release time so I don't see that really happening. |

So, I thought I had inspected the screen on my phone very clsely when I got it and it turns out what I thought was the edging for a very well pre-applied screen cover was actually just the edge of the screen. Imagine my surprise when I went for a replacement screen cover, told them to remove the old slightly scratched one first only for them to say there's no cover on there and it's the screen that's scratched.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

@ Ricky. It is a scren protector as far as i know. I removed it because I also had scratches on it. I didnt apply the extra one that came with the x10. The screen worked fine without it. I have another screen protector on it now

if Xperia is the most entertaining smartphone, what will happen to the whole Entertainment Unlimited range? |

Symbian is a sinking ship. SE should put all of its eggs on Android. While they're at it, I say skip WM7 too. Concentrate on Android for the mid-range to high-end products, and of course, the new touch OSE for the entry-level market. |
