I have the same problem. But I can only hear the sound when the screen is on "full bright" and the phone is to my ear. But once the backlight dims to "low" during a call, the high pitched sound disappears and I can't hear it anymore. So I really only have to endure it for about 10-15 seconds once a call begins before the screen dims.
exactly my prob
have you tried to do anything about it ?
and there is no software update for my version
try www.sonyericsson.com
they have a software for that |

Did you tried flashing the phone?
Or do a master reset first to see if it helps... Cuz your phone shouldn't do that... If master reset doesn't help, you can folow this tutorial to flash your phone with XS++:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=156090
and download firmware from www.4shared.com
Anyway do not use SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service)... It may upgrade your phone CID to 53 so you won't be able to flash it with XS++... You will need jdflasher then...

Overheating, hmm... Well when using 3G it is OK for the phone to have higher temperature than normal, but the other problem, did you tried flashing the phone? It may be the solution you are looking for. You know on the forums, many people are asking for help, and when they solve their problem, most of the dissapear leaving the forums without their result or proove that they have solved the problem...

I wish I could measure how hot my phone gets
and I don't want to flash it just yet.
I might return it for checkup
I'm afraid I'll get it back (after 2 weeks) and they will say that there is no problem with it |

I have seen several people saying that their phones have higher than normal temperature when using 3G (seen on T650 and mostly K800s). So if you take it to service center I don't think that they will concern that as a problem. And about the problem with the calls, they might fix it by flashing the phone firmware (and upgrading it to CID53 ) which I mostly hate about service centers at the moment... If you are a phone modder they will cut off you freedom of modding your phone...

I would not mind CID53, if I lost that irritating sound .. and heating prob ..
it's the battery that gets warm ..
and the fact that it's partially metal casing makes the thing even worse |

Then send the phone to repair center and explain them your problem... Tell them that you don't want your phone back with the problem unsolved

just a question guys: does T650 sell well in your country?
it doesn't seem so here, and K770 outsells it.
from my observations, sometimes it's better off not knowing. |

Both are the same here in my country imo.
Anyway a short question I have too:
Has anyone tried flashing T650 to K770 and otherwise? And what happens, do any bugs appear? I think the phone harwares are similar and it might work

It does not and never did. Its price was way to high when it came out. And even now when the price has dropped, it's still more expensive than K770i, so people choose K770i. Other thing is more ppl prefer simple design of K770i than a bit controversial T650i (btw I like it very much ).

I bought mine for 200€ here in Sweden
was one of the last ones
it's getting really hard to find them now
where is everyone with their T650i
wish someone with a phone could comment on my problems with it
1: Overheating while using 3G
2: High frequency sound from the speaker when led lights are on
I still don't want to flash it because my warranty would probably would vanish if I do so
it's only 5-6 days old .. |

Scratch resistant screen - i think not.
why mate? t650 screen is mineral glass.
Its the same glass used in watches. it is indeed scratch resistant ive tested it myself (though it is far from being scratch proof , there is a difference between the two remember )
I ended up getting little scraches all over my screen, it was in my pocket when i was cutting some trees.
If you live in a glass house, don't be chuckin stuff about. |
