For a long time, 2.4 hybrid was my prefered driver. But I switched to the 5.6c one and I am clearly astonished!

Thanks to both of you: the first who showed the path and took us far, the second who took us even further...

You really rock!

Thanks again.

5.6c (lastest) RAW

4.5 RAW

I don't know what to say .. really...
5.6c colors are more vivid, yet the picture is a little bit darker.
Haven't gotten to a conclusion regarding sharpness...

respect aksay
e_rezan & all the testers

I'm reading this thread since the beginning. I even took some drivers to test.

I'm astonished! Why?!

because from 100 pages 80's are with "thanks man, good work, I wnt 2 tell U .... i think that is better, the other one's better" ..etc.

Except a few people posts.. it's really nothing intresting to say? YOU don't have any opinion? for an advanced user.. or for someoane interested to help.. reading this thread is a pain in the asssss. because the few impressions that matter are very defragmented and far far away...
Keep it real, keep it 2 yourself... gratitule latter.. or by paycheck.

Now. e_rezan.... i think you did a great job taking cam modding on your back.
1) There are diffrent types of phones with diffrent type of users. There is not wriiten that they have to have at least 10 Mb free on the phone in order to have sufficient buffer memory.
2) you have to take this matter public.. editing you driver like askd and tell the people something like that "// here is sharpnees - i put x value"
this way you'll stop the gossip and commets and smartties will have to make their own if they don't like your work.
3) you have to say if your driver is a hybrid one or is an k750i driver with some moddification.
4) you have to work @ normal taken pictures not @ macro one's. (i took over 2000 pictures with my phones..but i think 50 or 60 was with macro mode)
5) can you explain why did you modiffy this lines?
original factory:
//-- JPEG buffer sizes (only used for ITP)
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_1=3A98; // 15 KB buffer for 100x60 snap
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_2=88B8; // 35 KB buffer for 160x120 snap
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_3=186A0; // 100 KB buffer for 320x240 snap
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_4=249f0; // 150 KB buffer for 640x480 snap
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_5=61A80; // 400 KB buffer for 1280x960 snap
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_6=927C0; // 600 KB buffer for 1600x1200 snap
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_7=927C0; // 600 KB buffer for 1632x1088 snap
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=927C0; // 600 KB buffer for 1632x1244 snap

modify by you:
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_1=3A98;
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_2=88B8;
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_3=186A0;
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_4=249f0;
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_5=61A80;
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_6=92740;
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_7=92740; normal mode //927C0 -600 KB
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=96640; fine mode // should be 927C0-600 KB buffer
for the moment this is my post. I;m working now @ a personal driver.. and i will post it when it will be finnish... as I promise once to askd.

HOUGHT!

People like to stimulate developers as they improve their work. If I had any f clue of what they're doing I'd surely make my own driver, but I can't.
It's not about gossips or useless comments. They've shown us their work because they want us to test it. We're trying to push our cameras to the limit so there'd be no point in having a topic like this if different users, with different phones, weren't allowed to express their oppinions.
When I say my phone hangs sometimes its because it does.
Im not saying "hey this driver is a piece of shit cuz it hangs", even because it happens with other drivers too.
Im just telling him: Sometimes it hangs, sometimes pics are dark, etc...
Not because I think I can do better than him, but because If there's someone who can fix that, that person is him.

this is what a forum meant to be.. it wouldn't be a forum if there's no comment at all, no matter how short or how long the sentence was.. there's no easy way to success neither do reading a forum

i remember the "fight" 10 pages away.

i just made an quick comparison... e_rezan vs the rest.

my opinnion that "e man"... have to explain why he played with the buffer lenght... because as far as I know and dscover thru time... those settings have to be untouched because those parameters are with main fw connected somehow..(hard to explain tho..)
other immpresions.. the mess a little bit with se_prop... wich also is questionable... i cannot remember exact line now.

i think my ideea was good: to post a driver lines with explanaitions...this way we can corect him along... or @ least we can point to some virtual mistakes or virtual good points of view.
