Everyone seems to be talking about the Galaxy S III. With Sony, all we get is just this?
Most people are disappointed with the gs3 rumours, Sony should step in and leak Lt29i specs to hype it up! Anyone?

^You're right but SIII gets hyped very much. In contrast to Sony despite Xperia S being a good all-around device, is not getting that much attention as well as the future high-end devices from them. I guess Sony should try to make people know about their devices, hype the upcoming high-end phones in a good way. |

The problem they have is that they cannot really hype up future phones without damaging sales of their current flagship (Xperia S). Samsung don't have this issue because their current flagship (S2) is already known to being outdated.

This is the problem of being late
Xperia S spec. are almost like SG2, while there's a huge time gap between them, this what makes releasing a really next gen phone now for Sony is very hard as it will hurt the sales of Xperia S, while for Samsung it really makes sense...
Galaxy S2 was announced in Feb. but released in April while worldwide availability was in June...
Samsung has changed there strategy, I think they're depending now on a immediate availability of the announced product, so they will announce it and will also announce the immediate availability of the phone.. most likely they have started production long time ago and they have plenty of devices just waiting to be shipped after the announcement...
This strategy is much better, as it does not give the completion any time to start rolling competitive response...
The thing is Sony will have Hayabusa to compete against S3 at the launch ( if Sony has a short time to launch time for it )... and only if Hayabusa was really comparable against S3 in spec. and price sides...
If not, Sony will only have Mint which will come 3 months later ( September ) and AFAWK it will be just a bumped up version of Hayabusa...

Hayabusa will beat the GS3 easily. Why ? The s4 krait CPU is already proven to be better and faster than A9 quad Core that the GS3 will have. Add to that Sony's excellent software optimization and you will have the best performing S4 krait handset in the market. Add to that an excellent screen, camera and much better looks AND a lower price - Sony definitely will have a winner.
Also Mint isn't a bumped up Hayabusa but its a different category of a handset. 5 inch SEXY Sony brick with 1080p screen

Interesting, so how do you know which SoC the SGS3 will have ? If it's going to be the Exonys 4412 then don't be so foolish so you just assume it will perform the same as a Tegra 3. If you have any benchmarks I'd love to see them, but as far as I know we haven't seen any 4412 benchmarks yet. The Exonys 4210 was clearly better than the Tegra 2, although both are dual core A9s. Perhaps Samsung will surprise us and put in the Exonys 5520 SoC in the SGS3 (or whatever the name will be), with a Mali T604 GPU. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this translates as: Mint is just a slightly bumped hayabusa and won't have 1080p.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Mint is 4.55 inches 720p screen and with LTE
Hayabusa is 4.3 inches 720p screen and without LTE
It's like nozomi (lt26i) and Aoba (lt28at) I think...
