here is a picture taken from the system dump of the Honami and then compare it to the one I posted with the DualShock support and they are very similar at least

I posted this a while back its a screen shot taken from my Xperia Z it shows how to set up the DualShock conrtoller to your Xperia device however the most interesting thing is the phone in the picture i'm sure this i,s if not very similar to the Xperia Honami we have seen in the renders/leaks any one agree

I told this about a hunderd times, this is just a RENDER, based on the TX/GX, no phone, just a place holder, it has been the standard placeholder in the Update center (till now, but on my firmware still is):

Good to have you guys back.

Btw..do we know of any manufacturer ( not necessarily Sony) who have said that they're giving Xenon flash a relook?

I have to wonder if Sone will either offer add-on flashes or if the add-on lense/sensor units will also include xenon flash. I have to imagne they'll have something to work with those amazing sensor/lens units. I'd LOVE for a bounce flash like the RX100/M2 units. So... chances of Honami with a pop-up flash?

Sony posted their quarterly results

Haven't really looked at much yet, but seems like they've posted a profit of $35 million. GO KAZ GO!

Pretty close to nil I reckon. In a mobile handset unnecessary moving parts makes for more things than can go wrong and more gaps to make water tight.

Standalone cameras are used a lot less often than mobile phones by the average user so a pop-up flash would endure fewer calls into action and wouldn't require being as strenuously sturdy.

I know... but I've begun using the bounce flash on my RX100 more often lately, and I LOVE this thing! It makes normal fixed flashes look like shyte in comparison.

9.6 million Xperia phones.
I thought they will sell 10+ million.

Considering the lack of a major North American push for their flagship phones, I don't think it's too bad at all. Until Sony makes a major push for North America, I think we'll see a constant struggle for them to get into that third place spot. Anyways, say what you will, but the Xperia Z and Tablet Z on their own have managed to gain a lot of attention for Sony this year. The Z Ultra will help heap that on and Honami should rocket them to the top of many peoples wish list. They should have some very profitable quarters coming up.

Not sure why some people here resent me, when I do sometimes post good posts every once in a long while - but that's just them being silly

I kind of get the impression that over the past 6 months or so that Sony has joined the top tier of devices. People that are non-Sony fans or other people, that sometimes I would refer to as 'non-technical' people, are even aware of Sony now thanks to the Xperia Z joining the likes of the (dare I say it) iPhone range, the top tier HTC range, the top tier Nokia-Windows Phone camera-orientated range and the Samsung Galaxy Sx range. Is Sony aiming to surpass some of these with the Honami and to become top of this top tier range? Is this manageable for Sony with the Honami?

I am also thinking along those lines. Let's not forget Sony is the only phone maker also selling camera, including Dslr equivalent, mirorless, compacts. (Pana does not make much phones and do not know about dslr from pana or samsung).

So i think (pure speculation) that there will be several accessories, and I think a grip will be there, with potentially battery extension functionality, and room for a flash accessory.

That just proves my theory that todays Sony phones are soo identical that even hardcore Sony fans can't distinguish them, let alone the normal people... I really miss the times, when the distinctive design was one of the key features in every device...

The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand...
