@Rhino 8.You must log a fault with Vodacom Customer Care.You must tell the opperator the GPRS network is offline and would like the engineers to call you on that or ask them to make Andre Liberty to call you...........The sms i was talking about is from a cellphone.You dont have to go on a computer which cost you more than 5cents on dial up cost.What about you ISP monthly cost.

@ brix,
Man, would I like to be a fly on the wall in the ManUre dressing room right now.. 'Sir' Alex Ferguson's usual/typical pre-match psychological warfare in the press here over the past week has backfired in the best possible manner.
Oh, and congrats on purchasing ManUre this week, Malcolm Glazer...hope you enjoyed attending your first Pom football match today..you must be thrilled with your new team!
LOL!!! Being biased can be SO satisfying sometimes! Now, where's the ngqomboti...
I guess we'd better get back to cellphone stuff, before we get told to start a football forum elsewhere.
A fellow esato member in the UK contacted me this past week. He is selling brand new 6630's for £200! And yes, they are legit. I'm still not tempted, though.
Gee, I hope the N70 is launched before I fly back to SA in late July! Maybe wishful thinking, seeing that the 6680 has recently become available, but who knows.
He who laughs last, thinks slowest...

I don't know how Manure managed to lose that game when they totally outplayed the Arsenal. £200 for the 6630 is bloody good, I'll pop into game 2morrow to enquire about the phone's price...right now it's an MTN exclusive AFAIK. The N-series phones won't be available before the year's end according to some reports.

@tahir

What i am talkin bout is a WAP SITE. once you got 5days online you get access to FREE GLOBAL SMS. If you bookmark the sms page and use that you can send FREE INTERNATIONAL SMS for 1-2cent. Trust me. Am using it at the moment AND I PAY NO SUBSCRIPTION. Only rule is the 5 days online on that site.

@Brix Vodacom will not be keeping the 6630 because it does not have a built in video calling camera.The 6630 is not an MTN exclusive.The 6680 will be available to the public 2 weeks time.Dont waste you time @ GAME because they only sell Vodacom and Cell C.Even Cell C is not stocking the 6630

@Brix GAME IS NOT BAD.I am going to tell you a TRUE story and here it goes.When Vodacom and MTN started business.Game(MASSMART GROUP) went to MTN 1st to sell phones and contracts.MTN told MASSMART we do not want our customer going to a huge chain store like MAKRO,GAME,etc we want them to come directly to us.Massmart went to Vodacom and a deal was made to sell Vodacom products.......from that day till today the MASSMART group is VODACOMs highest connecting distribution point.I think that what made Vodacom.MTN LOST BIG TIME.Cell C had to pay Vodacom R60million rand for Massmart to sell CellC.

Damn just did a comparitive speed test and MTN beat Vodacom. My Vodacom GPRS is at 5.1kbit/s while my T68i on MTN connects at 9.9kbit/s... Come on Voda, if anyone is listening.

MTN new catch line "EVERY WHERE YOU GO" should come with an terms and condition apply rule.If you go some where and if you are an MTN customer and if you have no network.YOU CAN SUE MTN.And MTN only has 5 roaming partners for GPRS if you go to a country that has no MTN GPRS roaming you can SUE MTN AGAIN.What are your opinions on this new saying

LOL ...seems like Tahir is providing the laughs tonight. Who in his/her right mind will roam on GPRS? I talked about speed and you change the topic to roaming. Whenever I'm overseas just switch on sms roaming...you can send me an sms if you're desperate to get hold of me coz as it is roaming is for the wealthy due to high charges.

@Brix AGAIN i think you dont know how a 2G network works.If a 2 network is busy in a area speeds will be slower than other base stations.2G networks work on TIME SLOTS and voice and data uses the same slots so if slots are busy you will have slow connections.All base stations are link to a BSC(BASE STATION CONTROLLER) if the BSC are congested it also affects speeds.With 3G its different thats why its called WCDMA(wideband CODE division multiple access).It has unlimited capacity like a FM radio station.Eveyone listening to 1 radiostation in an area but no CONGESTION.Why.The NETWORK GENERATES A CODE FOR EVERY USER........When MTN launch 3G compare VODA with MTN.When the day comes i will remind you of what SPEED is.MTN will have 384kbs,Voda will have HSDPA which is 2mbs when launched.Gprs speeds max is 170kbs but no one gets this speed because the time slots are used up.SPEEED HUH i will remind you MR BRIX

@ Brix in my last post i did not mention that EDGE also uses slots.EDGE max speed is 256kbs but you only get about 140kbs and lower on MTN.THATS why MTN is not advertising EDGE because the speeds is some times like GPRS.I almost forgot.MTN still has no EDGE wireless modems for customers thats why they are not promoting it and another reason Vodacom 3G coverage is bigger than MTN edge and not forgeting MTN 3G which is in test phase
