are you sure that the yellow spot are absolutely gone? I mean 100%. Coz i'd want a 100% perfect screen and no fault with my device. That's why i postponed buying this cellphone. I thought that i'd get it once the problem was sorted. .
Or i mite as well wait for the Hyabus...who knows. .
Even when I'm actively trying to find it, I'm struggling, so yes. I think it's completely gone.
This is even when the phone is a little warmed up.

Here in France the S costs 430 euros and Sony is reimbursing 50 euros = 380 euros
(70 euros if you send them your old SE phone)

I guess that's where the Green Heart part comes in.
They use old phones plastics and materials to recycle and make new ones. .

My 3 yellow spots are there 100% of the time. I don't notice them all the time but if I put a white image on the screen I can see the yellow areas and when I put a grey background I see them as white areas. |

Get it replaced, you shouldn't have to put up with it. Take it from someone who knows. I have had four handsets all with the same problem. I am currently waiting to see if mine is going to repaired or replaced.

Hello
I have used my new xperia S for four days, for the moment no problem of lag or yellow tint. I am very satisfied.
Perhaps the key "return" which is not the most practical...
I would like to know which type of case you use you to protect yours ? (Maybe with some links ?)
Thank you |

If I buy this sim free will the ICS update be carrier dependent? I'm looking to order 1 of Play.com this week. Of all the current android phones I like the look of this one the most. I'm not too keen on the timescape skin but I can live with it.
Is battery good enough to get me though 7/8 hours with light/moderate usage? Maybe a few mins of web browsing and the occasional whatsapp message?

It should at least last you a day. I mean, I've been using it rather heavily (read: playing with it) the past few days and that's how long it takes.
Also, timescape is an app, not a skin. The skin (UXP) is very light and non-intrusive and actually fits in well with the ICS design. You can even pick the colour scheme. IMHO, it's better than any other Android skin I've used.

Ok thanks. In regards to loading on pics if I wanted to dump pics straight from my camera (around 4/5mb per pic) will I incurr any rendering problems or slowness in loading? On iphone I believe itunes optimises them as you sync them but im not sure how the Sony will handle them if I am just dumping them on the phone directly.

I use the case I got with X S by default.
I wait for ISSENTIEL cases though.
@bavlondon2
The battery works really well, more or less like Arc.
As for pics I believe Sony doesn't do any stupid optimization when putting on phone. If understand what you mean....
