-Just 4 android devices 2010 which was bad, 2011 ALOT more. End of 2011 android devices for 70 euro.-They need to hire 400 developers
-He knows they have a loyal fanbase for nonsmart and simple phones, and they will come.
-When asked about a sony ericsson pad, its sonys department but we have some interesting stuff to show in Barcelona.

Se is full of nonsense, first they said no cheap phone, then prepare it afterward they say no winphone7 but I am sure some are going to be anounce at MWC to conclude they say to be technologycal leader but I can't see where. Well dualcore may be ( I am sure it is) not important in a phone, but still they have to prove they lead, even if I am sure that the dualcore xperia is going to be close to the Galaxy S 2. I am not going to get this ridiculous phone (my computer have a 1.2GHZ single core and it suit me very well!) long life to the xperia arc. |

Well if they do decide to announce a 'Flagship' for the 2H2011 then it would have to be super high-end in order to set it apart from Xperia Arc.

I hope that the Exmor technology will be implemented in non smartphones. I doubt it though.
Regarding the cheap phones, please implement good camera modules. Just like you did with k750 and k8xx phones. It can't be that expensive.

Like Goldenface said, I dont think hallon have exmor and bravia. That would make NO sense at all. Our dear Eldar must have got that part wrong
Actually, he didn't get that wrong. For once

I do believe in back 2 you, for the devices he does say that SE is going to launch in 2H 2011. Samsung+Sharp+HTC are going to have these specs from late Q2 to early Q3, auto focusing pico projector for feature phone (cedar is a 3G modem for computers X10 isn't, zylo plays FLAC etc... so it may be the surprise). 3D(?) dual core phone, with 16mpx phone and dualcore snapdragon adreno 220 for second half, micro-cell GPU for xperia play (I bet for a launch in May). |

I've seen some of you acting a little bit off topic and taking the rumour as a joke. I know we can joke some times, but hey, we need to keep the control over here. So please think before posting. Thanks.

How about dual core CPU’s for smartphones? Of course we’ll have them. We can take any chipsets from our suppliers, it’s not a big deal for us.

Here are some tidbits of Sony Ericsson 2011 Android plans, that management let slip in the earnings conference call:
* How many new Android models in 2011? Much more, X (i.e. several) times more then we had in 2010. And we will be releasing Android phones both in value and high end price categories. We’ll also strengthen the “Mini” line. (They had 4 Android models in 2010, so my guess is at least 10, probably more new Android phones this year)
* How about dual core CPU’s for smartphones? Of course we’ll have them. We can take any chipsets from our suppliers, it’s not a big deal for us.
* Tablets? Can’t comment on future products. What I can tell you – we are so much committed to our promise of bringing communications entertainment. Our thinking is not to bring “yet another tablet”. But we are working on a “very unique and exiting proposition” in the coming timeframe.
* When the new products will ship? We significantly speeded up product development cycles. First products like Xperia Arc will ship towards the end of Q1. (ed. that’s March, and probably includes new phones that will be announced at MWC) |

Well if SE will really release a pumped-up smartphone (dual-core etc.) they might win with design, as all other manufactuers are pretty bad at it (Samsung and LG all iPhone-like, HTC has it's own, but damn it's always the same ) If they add xenon-flash to it, overkill. I really hope to see some good stuff from SE. I'm just afraid that the "big surprise" will be PSP phone -.- |
