I would like to see someone compare more pics from the new stock firmware cam driver and DM 3.5 cam driver.

maybe anouk or rajac can since their DM3.5 pics are great, i am curious to see how their pics come out using the new firmware stock driver now.

I think c905 is the best camera phone for now, if your not happy with it you can dispose it! no body is forcing you to use that phone. If only you can use it correctly maybe you wont complain...

Man, I should not even post a reply to such a fanatic comment. I won't dispose it simply because my money don't grow up on trees. Sorry if you are one of those people, but I had to save money for almost one year to buy that, and that's why I bought it only now and not one year before. Fanatic people like you always see a comparison like an attempt to fire up against SE. That's not my point here, sorry if you got me wrong, pal. I am just trying to help on the driver development. We see a lot of macro shots here, but not many challenging shots in low light indoor enviroments without flash. My intention is primarly helping to improve it even more and not sitting here crossing my arms. I don't know if you saw the rest of my comments or if you just focused your fanatic eyes on my comment about the N82, but I'd rather try to raise the discussion of applying all the background knowledge of our good friend Raiderski in unleashing all the quality of the C905's camera.

Man, I really didn't think I would find someone who thinks the same way as I do, but I found one! LOL! And, for my surprise, is one of the most collaborative guys around here! I guess I have the exactly same feelings about them both. Anyway, I don't want to raise any discussions regarding this matter, my intention now is try to help improving the C905 camera's quality, which isn't bad at all. My point is that perhaps it still need some more tweaks and features, like putting together all the great collaboration from everybody here, including people who owns other handsets.

Pal, I will try to compare them too. I will eventually compare the C905 with a brand new Sony DSC HX1, in order to help it a bit.

great, thanks!!
My c905 should arrive today, and as soon as i debrand it, I will be snapping some shots with the original firmware cam driver also.
No macro shots either. I think we have enough of these now.
I have taken a few shots with a sony cybershot 10.1 MP digital camera I am going to compare them too as well.

Hello, guys. I have just got a C905 to replace my good old N82, and I all I can say is that I am quite disappointed with it.

I will post some indoor shots which I took with both DM 3.5 and with the stock driver and compare them with a N82's shot.

Ok, the Nokia did not manage to get the focus right, but the color reproduction is way better than in the C905. Mind you that the Nokia had everything set in auto mode, and the C905 was set to incandescent light, both with stock and with DM 3.5. It seems that the C905 lacks color saturation and some contrast, too. In addition, the C905 produces a lot of horrible yellow spots in the middle of the picture. This is more apparent with DM 3.5, and less with the stock driver. So the pixel to pixel detail is quite unacceptable for such a premium device.

I guess that turning the flash off was a better way to test the camera quality. In the noise department all I have to comment is that the C905 is on par with the Nokia.

Mind you that I've got the latest firmware (R1FA035), so it's not a matter of being outdated.

C905 DM 3.5:

That's why there is colour correction in DM 3.5.I have stock 2.8 original vs DM 3.5 and believe me DM's is WAY better.

Yeah, nice to know that! I guess that the camera and all users around here will benefit a lot from these fair comparisons. I used to take great night landscapes too with my modded K800. You can find some of them on my post history here @ esato. I took the C905 because I finally wondered I could do the same as I did before but know with much more quality!

I used to take them with the modded super mode camera driver, wich allowed us to take shots with fixed shutter speed of 2 seconds and the lowest ISO available, to reduce noise.

Anyway, once I get home I will put some 100% crops of those horrible yellow spots I talked about. Has anyone noticed them too? They seem like oil bubles inside vinegar. It's very strange.
