It is sad. I wish that I could post the message I got about two weeks ago stating that Sony will do something about the outrageous rumored specs to lower expectations in the coming weeks.
@unknown13x
In my opinion it is better to wait for more accurate info than post all the early rumors and label them as 100% accurate.

So what's the most legit spec of Honami so far?
Nice to hear about the Honami L version? How's thick it is gonna be? I hope not more than 11 mm. I guess it would be waterproof? |

lol @ all the people jumping on ramu.
Others have already said it, but seriously people get a grip. Unknown13x has posted why some insiders might have varying specs to report and it's fully understandable. We can at least say ramu has valid sources since IIRC he was the first to break the news on changable lenses for Honami.
As for the leaked pics, I too am wondering if it really is Honami or the Z refresh. Given that everyone else seems to think it's Honami I'll go with that assumption for now. It certainly looks nice enough, but I think some people were expecting a bigger change from the Xperia Z since earlier reports from insiders had described it as one of the best looking phones Sony has ever made. I'm not saying that it isn't one of the best looking phones, but it's similarity to the Z probably disappointed some.

people probably forgot about this. Weeks ago, I asked if Honami and Z will have the same situation as S4 and S3. Ramu or someone said yes, so that pretty much means appearance design was done long time ago. I may get the phone at right time as long as price is reasonable and dive like a Sony flagship. |

Yes I have been wrong but I did not try to convince everybody that it is a XR5 rumor. |

I actually enjoyed the sketches done by people more than the rumours themselves. there is no point to say who's right or wrong. after all, everything is just rumour and people are going to buy phone when they see it, not just base on rumour. |

So to all the insiders I just need to know. Are those pictures definately Honami, or another phone?
Thanks

The problem with this site nowadays is that new people keep coming here and have no idea of what the old Esato forum was like. back in the days (circa 2007) people just appreciate whatever infos the community sources can share, and we old users never blame anyone for the misses and mistakes as exaggerated as it may look like. but now look at how utterly disgusting this thread have become, senseless blaming and trolling just for misinformation? my goodness. some people needs to get a life, Everyone here knows how much I hated GSMArena/PA for years for their record breaking amount of trashtalks and trolls at the comment section on both the blog and the user opinion, but now I'm starting to feel the same for this site despite the fact that I've always loved this place for having the most intelligent people. it's sad to see that this is becoming similar to those two.

Anyone else find it odd that the new flagship seems to have two seperate internal names - Honami and i1? According to zomg he doesn't believe i1 will be the final name. Have any other phones ever had two seperate internal names? Are we 100% certain that Honami = i1? |

I1 is definitely Honami. It's like L4 = Togari = Xperia Z Ultra
There are many other ones. The lettering is used for manufacturing reference, while the codename is for Sony's internal reference. |
