@Tahir Why on earth will someone pay R10/month to use IM ? Just buy a 'smart phone' and you have free Instant messaging with all the big boys out there (like Yahoo,Msn,Icq,Aol,Jabber,Irc) on pc and cell . One can send video and audio messages too ! For me PTT is a very nice feature.I am using all this from my old 7650 for about 2y now :-)

@ tahir Am askin you as customeR care cant tell me. Am having problems with gprs in general. On my voda sim i dont even have gprs signal. Data desk told me that they are upgrading the network, but could not tell me when this will be complete. I might stay on MTN gprs tho, i only realised a while ago, voda sim loads more data than MTN with the same activity online.

Check for one of free java IM apps for your K700. Yamigo ain't perfect but it suits me fine coz I'm not constantly chatting...it's just a cheaper way to send messages to friends instead of texting them.

@ brix, kunjani?
Great anticipation before today's FA Cup Final?
There's a sea of red shirts all over here at the moment, either bearing team sponsorship by O2 or that other network, Vodafone...

@BRIX With the IM services you are using is not supported localy by any company and you can only send IM to those people who are clients.Where as the one thats going to be launched soon in SA you can send IM to IM clients, email address any cell number, just like and sms.The person who you are sending to dont have to be an IM client. In simple english IF I GIVE YOU MY PHONE NUMBER,YOU CANT SEND TO ME BUT THE LICENCED SA VERSION CAN.Thats THE MAIN DIFFERENCE

@brix @tahir I still rather use a certain wap site that gives me free unlimited global sms, and free email, as i do at the moment. I can decide to become a paying member for a pound a month and get more features, dont need to tho. So if i got yer number or email i can contact you from there. Just goes to show- there still are good sites out there, with good FREE features.

@ Rhino8.Vodacom told me there is huge roll out in Bloem for 3G.I am still waiting for the lists of sites you have no GPRS signal from you.Did you try turning your phone off/on...............@BRIX does YAMIGO allows you to send SMS VIA GPRS to any cellphone in SA.Person you send it to must not have any IM service. The SA version can.

@Tahir: Anyone can chat to me across four different IM clients. On MSN alone I've got more than 50 contacts and they can see whether I'm online. Hopefully the next version of Yamigo will support file exchange.
Give Yamigo a try and maybe then we can talk.

@tahir Why would i use an im site to send sms when i can send FREE INTERNATIONAL SMS from another site? Anyhow, just phoned voda 155 for help with the problem, and they put me through to customer care. And yet again the person at customer care did not even know what am talkin about. Ffs.

@Brix You dont understand simple english. You just posted you got 50 contacts on your Yamigo. But can you send a normal sms using YAMIGO to people you dont have on your contacts @ the cost of 1-5cents.The answer is NO.The IM thats going to launch in SA works the same as all the IM you mentioned but with more services because its licenced. YES you can add a list to those people who register and view if online or offline BUT it also sends sms to any cellphone @1-5 cents and the receiver sees it in their inbox on phone.......PUT any mobile number you want to SMS put it on the SA IM sms menu and not the normal IM menu than type your message and press ok.MESSAGE SENT.

LOL@Tahir. No mate you don't seem to understand basic English.
Yamigo is not network dependent.
I'll wait until Vodacom launch this IM service...coz u seem to be economical with the truth.
How do you explain the fact branded phones don't have the My Friends option... If I can get it for free I ain't that's the POWER OF YAMIGO... Damn I sounded just like that puppet for Vodacom.
