@ihe, when you log on to esato website via a computer, you see more details than you can see on your mobile. Under every post, you'll see more information about the user such as profile, email address, website & private messages.

if you check under profile, you'll see the exact number of posts the person has posted

e.g I checked ayas profile and he has a total of 524 posts in all.

ihe, you have only 6 posts for now.

if you post to a regional forum like ours, your posts will count but once you log off, they'll restart again.

your only solution to getting progressive post numbers is to visit sonyericsson forums

ihe, the actual number of posts you have is 7 now, either via html or wap or checking your profile.

as long as you keep posting in only proudly nigerian forum or other regional forums, your posts will count but will not accumulate, it will go back to zero as a new poster later, thats how esato designed it.

but when you've gotten to 500 posts like AYA, your posts will still count and accumulate in the profiles database but will be registered as >500 (meaning greater than 500)

Its really very simple. You dont have to go out of your way to post in the SE or general threads just to inrease your count. I am a mobile/internet person. I live breath, think, talk mobiles. I am so crazy about them that I've used over 22. As such, I am at home in the SE/main threads, even more so than in Proudly Naija. Thatz why my post count has jumped. If you really dont care for mobiles, nothing spoil now :)

I'd also like to get a smartphone like the P800 or P900 but the only thing putting me off is the size and to a lesser extent the price. BTW does the P900 support SSL encryption for use with Gmail?

@brix: I dont see why not. The P800 supports secure/encrypted connections and password on POP/IMAP mail accounts. Gmail has POP access, so the P900 shouldnt have problems with that.
