So when I connect the phone to the PPC it says AGAIN that I have an upgrade.
But than, when I accept it it says it cannot upgrade!

Launch Support zone. After connecting your phone, click on the top left corner where it says either update available or no update available (last checked.. etc.) Then on the phone software update click start, then a pop up will come where it will most likely be written no update available or something like that. Towards the end of that message, there will be an option to rpair your phone (highlighted in blue). Click on it and then follow the instructions.

PS - You will loose all data stored in the phone memory(contacts, messages, etc). Internal memory and sd card will not be deleted. If you had saved your contacts to google account or made a back up then you should be fine.

But it says update available (!!!)
and after starting the update it fails with the error.

So this repair is like a hard reset?

I will do it tomorrow, have to go to sleep.
Anyway, disappointment. Sony sucks again.

The last question:

what do you see under Settings -> Display -> Lock screen?

Do you have only wallpaper setup or some more options for the lockscreen?

Mine reverts to this automatic mode.

Oh Dear!! So much whining

Haha just kiddin

domnistry, do a clean wipe and flash it again (or update). The "bugs" won't go away until you do a complete and clean update.

@doministry mines the same as yours, it only shows wallpaper

So far I'm liking this update but the battery is terrible, using CPU spy I've found my phone is awake almost 50% of the time but I did find that play music, play magazines and Facebook inside xperia were all set to sync so I've now turned them off as I don't use them, let's see how my battery goes now.
Apart from that everything is working fine, can someone else look at their lock screen settings to see if the only thing there is wallpaper that can be changed.

I was having trouble updating last night. I think I'll hold fire now until any issues look like they're sorted out.

As you updated successfully can you please answer these questions as they would guide me:

1. Is Camera remembering your settings when you enter it, or it displays this super automatic mode and reverts to your settings when you press settings icon?

2. What options you have under screen lock settings? It should be also things like sms etc, but apparently it's only wallpaper there.

I would be grateful for the answers. The phone works smooth after another Xperia homescreen cleanout.

Sorry for delay. Yes mine is also not remembering camera settings and i also only have wallpaper for lock screen. Think it's a slight mess up by Sony. One good thing I just noticed is less ram being used

Cool. Well everything seems ok apart from a few niggles. But am worried about the battery life. I unplugged mine and it went from 100% to 97% in a few minutes of use. I did a reset after update but otherwise all else is ok. Think Sony need to patch this up a bit.

Just found out the cause of my battery drain and slight screen judder. The weather widget. Screen judder when panning home screens now is buttery smooth. Same thing happened when I had the GS3 with the weather widget. But battery still does seem worse
