This is the C905 thead so don't pretend you have an interest in the phone when really you're just coming here to wind people up. You're fooling no-one.

I don't mind 2.4" screen, as I thought it's the best result for QVGA screen.

Larger screen would degrade overall UI looks, as the font edge becomes visible.

You should increase screen res to VGA, then the best size is around 3.2".

But it means SE needs to use decent platform, something like OMAP. That means higher costs, more battery consumption. C905 is feature phone.

By using OMAP platform, adding office_pdf reader, and flash browsing support into A200, that would makes C905 become a smartphone. No need Symbian

I agree, given the res the display size is approppriate. Yes it would be nice if this phone has vga recording and display, but shit we can't have everything. The only other phone on the market that can be classified as an "all in one" really is N95 (however it doesn't have a touchscreen, so even that theory is blown out of the water).

So no phone on the market HAS IT ALL, so all we can do is choose the phone that most suits our needs.

For me, the C905 has all the advantages of the W910 (one of SE's hottest non-smartphones to date bar the crap camera), a decent camera (with light AND flash) and wifi plus other great features.

I'm sold on the C905. It replaces they G900 as my next phone.

I'm still very disappointed that the C905 doesn't have a video call camera.

Oh, thank GOD. I was looking at the specifications for the video call feature the other day and I totally missed it!
Thanks, guys!

The C9905 remains my dream phone.

Welcome back mate, if SE were to lead again wouldn't it help to produce A FIRST? 'No phone has it so SE don't need it' is not the ideal that SE was built upon, and you and I both know it

You can call me whatever you want, the fact of the matter remains - a small 2.4in in a relatively huge body ! That looks so 2005/06 like. Let's hope at least it will be readable in bright sun light. Apart of the camera this phone does not impress much (well, unless you are a se fanboy) Is it symbian compatible or will java applications have to do?

Not everyone likes Symbian, Mario. Symbian phones can be troublesome for some. Everyone has their own tastes.

To be honest, I've never had problems with looking at the screen of a Sony Ericsson. Theirs have always been one of the best.

Cheers.

you're trying to find problems where they are not. doesn't impress you? you're right - it won't make the dinner, it won't clean the flat, it won't go for a walk with the dog. it's just a phone... oh, what a shame...

many people don't care about additional features, they need phone with standard features, camera and sometimes mp3 player. it doesn't have Symbian but do you know why? most people with phones based on Symbian doesn't know about potential of this OS. they don't care about this, they need phone, sometimes camera and mp3 player. most people don't need Symbian, like my grandma don't need BMW M7 either
