Look what Vodafone have done to the UI!

It appears to be the same as the UI in the GX-30, and I thought that was just Sharp's UI, but it looks like it's Vodafone's standard UI.

compared to

It's hideous.

I've just received the K700. For anyone else that has this phone, I have a quick question.

Does your K700 "lag" sometimes. For example, I press calls on my phone, when I am in the calls menu, I try to scroll down, but there is a 3-5 second lag. Does this happen to your phone????? This dosen't only happen when I press the call button, it can be anything I do on the phone, whether it's trying to read my messages, playing games. This lag happens frequently. Argh, it's very annoying.

I live in the USA and my carrier is T-Mobile, but for some strange reason on the main screen, it shows Cingular Wireless. Is there any way to change this?

If anyone has these problem or knows a solution, please let me know! Thanks. BTW, I bought it from allglobaltk

Interesting to see that the 2nd pic has the white rectangle to highlight an icon instead of the spotlight that we've seen before though. I wonder what that's about? Changing with themes possibly?

T-Mobile aren't so bad, at least all they do is brand the phone and add t-zones. Vodafone have literally destroyed the phone.

EDIT: I forgot about T-Mobile locking their phones too heh.

Hey all..

I'm from the states and want the k700 badly... so I poked around and expansys-US has the phone for preorder for the cheapest price i've seen ($485USD) in US dollars or any other currency both preorder and real order. I emailed them and they replied that they had confirmed that the UK office will have a shipment due within the next two weeks per this email i got from them, quoted below:

Our UK office has confirmed that a shipment is due within the next two weeks.

Thank you

I don't know about you guys but i'm gonna preorder. Being in the states its a bit difficult already to get the newest phones early and for a price that's relatively cheaper than what you guys are spending over there in europe.. i'm all for it! just thought i'd let the fellow americans know

Good looking out for the US folks. Two weeks seems like forever though.

for the UK I have asked today at phones4u and still they are not saying anything. I'll try every day until they get bored and tell me

Its sad to see that branding just like the t610 had with vodafone live. Does anyone knows if O2 in the UK sells unbranded and unloked phones? i might go with them if they do

cant wait to get this baby in my hands

I know that O2 phones are unlocked. They have branded some phones in the passed, I remember seeing a T610 with the O2 logo on it. But it seems that they've stopped doing that with all their recent phones. I'm hoping to buy it on O2 too because Orange and Vodafone both brand their phones, and when T-Mobile start selling it they will too.

I started a new contract with O2 online a few months back and a free T610 came with it but I just sold it on.

However, I did switch it on to see if it worked and to have a play first... the startup screen had the O2 logo and I think the menu was altered a little too.

Very annoying.
