Not impressed to see the same kind of screen lag that many are complaining about with their HTC Tytn II's (especially when the keyboard opens and closes). I'm quite used to it on my kaiser, which isn't as bad as some, but I'd expect a lot better from my next phone.
Don't think I'll go near this until it's released and properly tested in the real world.

The video is working now. Wow the camera is cool, its similar to the G900's which is really awesome! That video alone made me very tempted by the X1. It just looks so amazing!
Here's a bit of news that may not be news: Remember when the Windows logo was taken off the button on the official X1 pictures recently and nobody really knew why? Well it's back now which only adds to the confusion over why it was removed! See for yourself:

Quite possibly, but I wouldn't take it for granted.

HTC devices are not even that slow generally. However if X1 does turn out to be that slow when its released then im guessing there will be some unhappy people out there.

Wow! The slowness of the phone really disappointed me. And yeah, even though it's a pre-production model, it shouldn't be THAT slow. It almost seems unusable. I can't imagine that they can magically transform this phone into a normal (or high) speed phone without any lag, seeing from where they need to come. I think the (very) high resolution screen might be the problem here (in combination with slow Windows Mobile performance like always). I really hope they sort it out, because this device has great potential (business and multimedia in one). |

Hi all,
I think it may be considered rich to call me an SE die hard fan but i must say that it is starting to look like one hell of a device, it most certainly is early Firmware that is obvious especially as it still has the best part of 5-6 months to be finalized.
What it looks like will be possible to achieve with the 9 panels has shown me far more potential than was originally explained. Add to that what WM6.1 looks like it will deliver and this could well be with the fast processor giving a fast UI and a stable firmware a truly great device.
As at last and long overdue IMO SE are about to give us a device with bang up to date spec's if not even slightly future proof, as long as they deliver it does indeed look like a device many of will buy, hell even me. Now we just need a UIQ version.
Marc

While it seems quite an unusual Dogmann comment, I can agree with him 100%. It really is starting to look like a phone worth having. A week ago you could have asked me if I wanted the X1, and I would have said no. After that video though, wow, I want it more than any other phone!

Yes this phone is looking better and better. It seems the panels thing goes a bit deeper than just a today screen replacement.
