On SABC3 during the ad breaks the RAZR2 range appears on the screen in a very sexy ad with a very sexy woman.Got to admit, did a google search as soon as the ad finished, which means Motorola is once again doing it right.(Last year July its predessor the V3 surpassed the 50million handsets sold) Thats a shitload of phones. And these babies are quite a step up from the RAZR.I remember seen a SE ad last week on the telly and it did nothing for me.Wasnt the least bit curious.I liked the V3,and now all those things that were unfortunitely missing are sorted out.2mp cam,2GB onboard memory,Linux platform and a processor thats 10 times faster than the RAZR V3,Full internet browser and 3.6mbps HSDPA plus much more.and believe it or not its 2mm thinner.

was just watching SABC3 late nite news and i didn't catch them properly when the Vodacom guy was talking, they said something about a Fibre-optical service being implemented by them which wil double data speeds and decrease costs or something like that? Is this HSDPA 7.2mbps or is the long awaited WiMAX?

Hey Gucci, LOL boet seeing that WipeOut (2097?) theme on your PSP brought back PS-1 memories for me too...
Dang I used to play that game so much with my nephew. I can still remember words from the game like that low, deep tone saying 'missiiiile' , or 'shield energy low' etc.
Oh, and not to forget that Chemical Brothers song called 'Loops Of Drum And Bass' on the soundtrack. Keeeewl. Sigh, those were the days...

Maaaaaaaaaagandang umaga, Jojo!
How's life in Manila? We've got seemingly endless rain at the moment and the weather forecast for the next few days doesn't paint a pretty picture...
Hopefully it'll clear before this weekend's International Motorcycle Show...

Goooooooooood EVENING Mr. Professor !
Yup, the weather at my end is a BIT overcast too Bangladesh was really devastated by the recent typhoon-Sidr, that HIT them . . . it was estimated that DEATH toll could be in 5K or more I am also seein' WEIRD floodings in Greece and Turkey (via CNN) . . . Looks like Thanksgiving in the US of A will not be that HAPPY as supplies of Turkey will be LOW this year due to flood
I hope that the weather will DO cooperate during the Motor Bike Show, pop !
Happy . . .

Good morning all Nice pix indeed there Gucci, that PSP looks wicked!!
Jojo, i hear what you're saying bro, these weather patterns are disturbing. What gets to me is how the U.S. of A is at the forefront of the fight to stop global warming yet they have over 100million vehicles on their roads, and consume nearly a quarter of the planet's electricity. (not too sure of these figures, i'm quoting from memory)

WipeOut is realy a classic i hope they make a PS-3 and PSP version if they haven't already im not up to date with games all im looking at is HELO-3 and PGR-4 but both are on Xbox360 .
@ Kryptik
Thanx man
@ Kyle
Thanx bro, i'd say get a PSP Slim well thats only if you're like me and like taking your gaming device where ever you go especialy on holiday, cant be dragging that huge PS-3 around, and id carefuly watch SONY they will bring out a PS-3 SLIMLINE soon just like what they did with PS-2. If you don't want to spend a lot on a PS-3 id suggest a Xbox360-Elite Edition its around R4500 and has something like a 120-140GB HDD in it and it comes in a Black Housing.

Thanx man id love an N800 or N810 with that WVGA screen res must be sweet to surf the net with.oh by the way i also kept seeing those RAZR-2 ads, WOAH couldnt stop drooling everytime i saw that lady hehe. . . I can already see Moto pulling off the high sales they had with the Razr V3. And with Linux this should give it the credit it deserves for being such a great OS although 95% of the people who will buy it don't know what Linux is.lol!

@ Hobbster and Gucci,
The RAZR2 sales here have been very poor so far.
People just don't seem bothered by it (yet), a stark contrast compared to the previous RAZR.
At this stage it's a sales flop; if it drops in price very quickly (as a lot of Motorolas do), the sales figures should be far more impressive.
In fact, at 199.95 on PAYG/cash (approx R2800), it's not the best-selling Motorola at Carphone Warehouse by a long shot...

they should clone the girl from the ad and sell her with the phone as an accessory and im sure they'll pip that 50million plus mark again i wouldnt worry wangs, the samsung u600 or u700 topped the sales charts over there
for quite a number of weeks.and u know what i think of that.
