Regular Mate 10 and U11+ are LCD.
No influence on bezels.

true with regards to much newer LCD displays with thinner bezels but the bulk of LCD displays have larger bezels. Depends how much Sony is willing to spend on development for these 2 MWC devices.

btw for those wanting leaks from Sony, a few years back Sony began clamping down on leaks and I support these clamp downs, it allows for some degree of surprise at the shows.

The se k800 uses OLED display and I had never seen burnt in screen before. If Sony do use OLED, I hope it stays the same and gives accurate colors and good sunlight legibility while not sacrificing battery power.

I am very much in for OLED, wanting that on Sony's phone for more than 5 yrs. I love the deep blacks, the widest viewing angles, eye popping colors and now even superior sunlight visibility, though I don't like Samsung's approach on the calibrations. But I have full faith that Sony's approach will be better. The burn in, etc issues are not as bad as they have been put on the internet. I get to use a cousin's 3-4 yr old note 4 and I just don't see any issue on that.

Sony only seems to be planning on using OLED in phones for now. I wouldn't be surprised if an OLED phone doesn't get announced before IFA, may be even next year IFA if they have only started working on it.... I would be sad though if I can't buy a Xperia with OLED this year.... Fingers crossed...

LCD is still better in sunlight. and in power LCD has very limited range it mostly depend on brightness. OLED has a much wider variety in power consumption depending on how bright and which color, it can consume close to nothing if you see a very black scene or it can consume higher than LCD if the scene is white and bright.

Don't trust gsmarena too much.their sun light visibility test is awfully flawed.

Compare handsets next to each other.
No need to rely solely on reviewers
