Article says FPS is on the back. But look between volume and cam buttons.
Looks the same of XZ1. With a big power button.

Hmm well it doesn't seem to match this first device 100%, some design elements do match but others do not, like the larger front cam on the right in the XB photo. The top bezel also seems larger in the sumahoinfo post.

Maybe the design has changed from the XB post or it is another device to come later, maybe CES? |

IMO, This is maybe the best Xperia in 2017 with some attractive colors.

I have never watched IFA press.
Does Sony tell the prices of phones?
Hope this phone has front speakers and also be true dual.
This device is really interesting.
Maybe that other device with rear FPS was just a prototype.

This phone will have battery life way longer than Z3 android 4.4 .

Wierd. The XA1 Plus has dimensions 155x75x7 mm, just 1x2x1 mm smaller than the XZ Premium. But this looks very diffrent. The bezels arent as big as the XZ Premium. Wich is strange since screensize is the same and overall size is almost identical. Some magic desgin trick beeing pulled here?
I like it, at least from what we know now. But i would never buy it, its way to big for my pocket. The only mobile phone thats meets my criteria in size and performance is the XZ1 Compact.
It is time for an uppgrade from my Z3 Compact. There has been nothing, and i mean nothing, intressting since the z3 Compact released a few years back. Z5 Compact was an alterativ, wasnt it for the termal issues. |

Think I'll get the wife the new Compact, will get it imported once available as here Z5 Compact is starting to show its age and she's dropped it more times than I care to count.

This midrange device is not needed at all, its an awkward size with a relatively small screen for its size. The XA1 Ultra is a much better looking device that is only really lacking the fingerprint scanner. What Sony needed was an XZ1 Ultra with the slo-mo camera, not this XZP light version, I think they are under the illusion that people only purchased the XZP for its looks while in fact the big bezel design was the one thing putting people off.
I know that the XZ1 is a great performer but my eyes are only for the Compact. It needs waterproofing and a 1080p screen for it to be a beast. |
