from the USEB c905 gallery, its obvious that c905 has a bigger xenon flash than k850,a good thing..
not that good,if you remember k850's pics were overexposed because its flash was too strong,even in iso set to 100...

AFAIK the overexposure is caused by the short distance from the object. Easily solved with photolight, great for closeups in poor lighting conditions which it packs as well.

photolight is the led right? cause I thought you could only use that for video and you had to use xenon for photos. Am I wrong?

the photolight on the k850 is white, however can't be turned on instead of xenon, it is only used as an af light

Hey Guys,

Some interesting updates ...

1.) C905 was designed by sony ericsson Japan.

2.) Hardware also designed by sony ericsson Japan.

3.) VGA rec. & VGA res. were added by sony ericsson Japan but were removed by sony ericsson sweden as it consumed too much battery life.

4.) Software will be put in by sony ericsson sweden.

So looks like the whole fone was done up in Japan but sweden removed some of the stuff from it. I guess for next yr, the new generation of cyber-shots, all in all, its a good fone ... and shall be a bestseller no doubt.

Ciao.

Well that was stupid of SE Sweden. Who cares if VGA sucks to much battery life. Its not like you are going to be using the phone solely as a video recorder.

@bodeh6

its probably the vga screen res which sucks battery and not so much the vga video and sony ericsson decided theres no point in putting vga video in a phone with a qvga screen. Just like why widescreen video cameras record their videos in widescreen.

Agreed. If all phone makers were so concerned about battery life then we would not see 3G, GPS and WiFi on phones. Thank goodness that not all makers think the same way. But maybe the Swedes have a good reason for thinking that customers rather have long battery life and poor video quality than the other way around...

So why do you don't see VGA screens on the Nokia's phones that can shoot VGA@30fps?

I think all phone makers are concerned about battery life otherwise we'd all have phones that lasted only half a day and whats the point of that? Carrying a pocketfull of batteries each time you wanted to go on a day out? No thanks.
