as you have seen before i guess, i had many complaints about the camera, what do you think of yours and what phones have you had before to compare it with.
i have my w900i to compare with and it does not match it for ages..
i take like 99% of my pictures indoors and it litterly sucks. it's even darker than my old t610 how is it possible?
when i look at the screen before i take the pictures, it's bright and clear, but as soon as you "take" the picture it goes dark.. why the F**K display a brighter image then it will be when the picture is done?
and it's slow to, to change if you point it at a bright object like the tv.
The camera isn't its strongest feature and won't be replacing my Canon SLR buts its good enough for the industrial shots I need to take during my work & no worse than the P990i camera I had previously (green tinge issue aside).
Certainly wouldn't be the phone to choose if photograph is one of your main uses. |

Just quickly browsed their website, they seem serious enough to be trusted, though of course for master scammers, building up a site isn't that hard.
Noticed one thing however: the phones are shipped out of Malaysia or HK, meaning they'll probably bear the CDA from over there, am I right ? If so, is it easy to change the CDA and get the language packs for your own country?
PS. they propose the DS980 BT headsets for an extra $95, which I also find a good deal. |

I know this is a silly question and I think I've known the answer.
Can w960 play back video in web browser, like youtube, etc ?

Anyone used that site before? Is it a trusted one? Seems very cheap, I'd be tempted to replace my K850i with one of these at that price!
Seems authentic. It's got loads of informations and postal address of the company, too.
I dont think that site can be trusted simply because its too cheap considering its only just come out sim free. Its easy to give information on postal services ect....Its a scam im sure.

No I dont think so. N95 8gb only just this week got a firmware update to allow flashlite3 so it can now play native youtube. But I think you can still get youtube through emtube application. Not sure if its available for UIQ though.

true, but it has a 3.2mp camera with af.so my logic tells me that it should take better photos than a phone with a camera that's only 2mp with af

I think I've got good news for the UK residents.
in London has just received a bunch of W960 phones, so this means that they are ready to be put on the market in the UK

If you type in www.youtube.com into the browser it pulls m.youtube.com which is the mobile version I think.
If you select a movie it launches the SE Media Viewer & streams the couple of movies I tried OK. Tried a couple of larger files that were taking too long to stream so I cancelled them. |

Just to let everyone know Vodafone stores and I believe customer services got deliveries today of the W960. From the handsets I've seen they are branded CDA/firmware but not branded boxes or on the phone itself, also unlocked too (exactly like the p990 and w950 on vodafone). Price wise they are free on £35+

That's £35 / month (probably on a 18 months contract)
