No native support for it's onboard graphics then, maybe?
I'd still try another distro before delving into drivers and all that though...

Yellow one? That's the exclamation mark! "Windows cannot start this device", most probably.
It usually either means "duff driver" or "The card has had it".

When my daughter tries to view Youtube on the pc she gets this error message.
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player.
I have made sure both have been done and its still the same. Thing is, I can view youtube when I log in on the same pc!
Any help much appreciated.

Best thing would be to delete her user account (choosing the option to save her documents, favourites etc. if she's old enough to have any!) and then recreate it again.
Reason being, if Youtube works with your login then it might be something to do with the registry entries for her account. Deleting and recreating the account might solve this.
Also, create the account with full privileges. I know that this kind of defeats the object but it prevents the hassle of flash player updating itself etc.

The thing is, this has only just happened, and she hasn't done anything. She used to be able to watch youtube fine, but now all of a sudden she cant.

Are you using XP pro? If so, you should be able to log in as administrator in safe mode, and claim ownership of the file.
However, I came across a bug once where it still won't let you delete it after you've done that, so good luck!
