I think you are right Shotokan.
A case around the phone would explain the reflection in the bezel (marked red here).

are randomuser and i i the only ones noticing the most obvious reason it's FAKE?
the touch navigation icons are rotated 90 degrees! any real device, early prototype or final device, would have its icons properly displayed in the CORRECT orientation. there is no use discussing anything else in the picture as this alone, is a MAJOR flaw.
@spouse - you may know the guys and trust them, but even the best of friends play pranks on each other. Plus, business is business. people gotta make money and the best way to do that on the web is to drive web traffic to your site. this is a perfect way to do that considering all the hype around honami.

I thought my sarcastic remarks are pretty much of an indication that I too question the validity of the image? aside from that wierd navi orientation, the UI is horribly distorted for a device being almost perpendicular to the viewer

I'm someone who rather have a bigger copy of the file on the phone as, of needed, I will crop down later. If that image os true, "only" 8 MP for 16:9 is too few IMO. I can't trust if someone says it's a hardware limitation because my S can do 9 MP 19:6 (and it os the only one o use, rarely 12 MP 4:3... SP I expect at least something close to15 MMP 16:9 option on it...

razec.. yah. i just meant you didn't point out the orientation of the nav icons but i realized your comments weren't conclusive of a real photo

I really just want to see what Honami looks like. And I really hope it has the 2/3" sensor. |

@moogoo, fake yes, my first thought. The available resolutions may be real.
@Felimenta, then what is the problem? If you crop later anyway, take the 20mp, it is 15mp in 16:9 plus 2.5mp at the top and bottom that you don't need and can crop later (see my earlier post). Not sure to see the problem here.

i just don't see the point of discussing anything that's fake.
they can't even get the icons correct, what makes you think the camera resolutions are? this isn't a "spot the one real thing" game from an official sony blogger or something. it's a poorly photoshopped hoax ..

The UI doesn't look distorted to me.
Also, the nav buttons don't rotate even on my 4.2.2 Xperia Z. The icons are dots unless you touch one then they come up as icons and they are NOT rotated.
For reals

There is no justification is needed whether its a fake or not, just take it as a pinch of salt as rumour, its enough,we cant decide and we haven't seen this device,so just leave it
Note:we are not in forensic department ,we dont have evidence or proper proof to validate
I agree with ricky,he showed the proof now Thanks ricky, nice found, this is what we need -good job

Good spot Ricky D !
Anyway, fake, old proto or true honami, the pic does not let us learn much on the phone itself...
