@ Hobbster,
Ya, the keylock is under the backspace key but the 'back' key is so damn handy below the scrollwheel on the left outer housing.

Does anyone know of any applications which use the accelerometer in the n95? I already have that bouncing ball proof of concept thingy but after the initial 'wow - how they do it', I would like to see some 'real/usefull' stuff. I Wonder why on earth nokia did not bother to 'advertise' the gimmick until Apple and SE released it too? The N95 is over half a year on the market.

So N95 realy has a Accelerometer? Or is it just using the Camera's Level Sensor?

The N81 is now on sale here; O2 again being the first to stock it.

@ Hobbster,

It's an application that demonstrates the response of the devices sensor. To help show this off, there is a download from Nokia called MovingBall. When you tilt the phone, move it around etc, so does the 'ball' on the screen, making the N95's sensor's response easily measurable. Kind of like a 3D virtual spirit-level methinks.

It's meant for programmers who wish to download it and make applications for it, rather than for bored people watching a sensor moving on a screen; after all it's still in an unofficial release. Developers out there (Mario? )could add accelerometer support to their apps.

Now the possibilities could perhaps be Nintendo Wii-type games and applications in the long run...? Can you imagine? Maybe I'm getting a bit ahead of myself at this stage.
It's almost surprising that Nokia haven't perhaps made more of a song and dance about it.

Here's a link from the Nokia developers' site, halfway down the page:

@ Jojo,
Did you see that Alonso has split from McClaren? A mutual decision and agreement, which is what was almost inevitable, I guess.

The N95 continues to amaze me,im sooo jealous of those fortunate enough to own one. Unfortunetly my Mum believes that the N95 is a phone made for Working adults and not for teenagers, yet she got me an N80, LOL!
@ Gola
Can you believe that the N81 was announced in AUGUST and is already available, yet the W960 was announced in June and may only be available in December.

@ gola,
It's for contract-only with O2 at this stage, but off eBay they go from 335 (approx R4900)...
http://phones.search.ebay.co.[....]saslcZ3QQsbrftogZ1QQsofocusZbs

...or Mphone, who are one of the bigger independent retailers, are charging a hefty 439.95 (approx R6200).

http://www.mphone.co.uk/acatalog/n81_sim_free.html

The hideous launch prices are typical of this industry; after Christmas it'll drop to more realistic prices for sure.
Gotta say though that the N95 has had one of the lowest depreciation rates I've ever seen on any phone. I think the only thing that'll bring the price down quicker now wil be the advent of the monster 8 Gig N95...

@ Jojo,
With each day that goes by, I seem to gradually enjoy the P1i more and more. That camera for a start is, as you can imagine, in a completely different league to the VGA item on the P900, and from the few pics I've taken so far with it so far, close enough to the N73's similar 3.2mp item. This item I know is very high up on the list for both of us (ie. quality, picture sharpness, etc.) The much slimmer proportions make it easier to fit into pockets, some menu options allow one more variety and choice, the range of newer applications keeps the interest going, the greater RAM on board will come into its own as I install more applications, etc.
But I still prefer the bigger screen of the P900, which also comes into its own when using the virtual keyboard to write and text with, or sketch/make notes on the jotter. I also miss the options and advantages that the flip gave, but as I've mentioned before, this is what I've been used to and comfortable with for the past 3 and a half years, so it'll still take some time to 'warm' to the 'progress' of the latest in the P-series.

About which was best of the P800, P900 and P910, well that'll be open to debate. The P800 is somewhat of a classic, the P900 was a classier, less Fisher-Price-looking handset (IMHO) that added video and smaller proportions compared to the P800, and the P910 was much loved for its additional RAM etc.
Looks-wise, out of the 3, I do prefer the P900 with its more slender chrome keys and angular looks, but I guess a lot of people would regard the P910 as the best of the 3; basically an evolution of the P900 with the additional bits like the flip keyboard, RAM, new bigger keypad buttons, etc.
