Awfully tired this morning after a hectic, stressful day.
Wanqa hope the P1 is still behaving. How are those flash menus? |

Wonder what would of happened if instead of releasing the P1i,SE released a P990i 8gb edition with 128mb RAM and upped the camera to 5mp Do you think it would have been a killer? Build-wise this phone is 'tight' lol

@wanqa, kryptik bro, thanks for the well-wishes, I hope I'll do alright, not thinking about doing well even. Haha... Anyway, Kryptik bro, it seems like you've mastered the use of your Symbian phones very well now. If I ever get another Symbian phone, I'll know who to approach for help.

Eek! In bed with spontaneously combusting Nokias!
Wonder if that Matsushita battery recall on Nokias had anything to do with this...or not?
@ da brixsta,
The flash menus are very well presented and laid out, clearly modernised from the older UI. However I still find the older, more staid P900 flash menus more intuitive at this stage, including the standby screen shortcuts that were activated/appeared when using the 5-way scroll wheel etc, compared to the more limited UIQ3 jogdial. I'm guessing this is almost largely due to such long exposure to a now dated UI(Q). On the Pi, I love the 'back' button on the side of the housing below the scroll wheel, definitely an ergonomic plus there.
I've also got the icons as a list now (notably smaller than what the P900's bigger screen obviously allows), due to the additional installed applications not being instantly visible with the grid option unless one obviously scrolls down. Using the bigger stylus to type on a smaller virtual qwerty keyboard also takes some getting used to...gotta work on my calibration methinks.
I've now had the phone a week and it hasn't crashed once or 'hung' with any application used so far. It really seems to be stable, which is more than I can say for the N73 that I had before the f/w update...
Yeah, I'm a relatively happy wanqa with the P1i so far, and I guess will be increasingly so as I ween myself off UIQ and onto the later UIQ3.
