If honami is anything close to Fuji X20, it would already be such a revolution.
I do not have my expectations that high, i mean, form factor wise it would be such a technical prowess from Sony!
And agree, not expecting results as good as RX100, v1 or v2, although anything close to v1 would already be formidable!
Just comparing phone to phone, on the paper, honami seems to have an edge over nokia 808 and hence nokia EOS for low light, as Nokia software benefits seems zoom and detail sharpness rather than low light.
This is anyway pure speculation based on rumors, final specs may be different, and the whole imaging package needs to be on par with the camera hardware, so let's wait and eventually see!

Honamini = Ray 3? or I'm terribly mistaken?

Razec...
Nokia's way to artificially create large pixels ?
So you doubt the magic pureview ?
See this then:

Now understand once and for all, Honami is great, amazing, the best Android photo of all time, but it will be much lower compared to 1020, but also and especially in relation to the 808 !
P.S: Let's go back to topic please ! |

@ramu any info regarding the accessories that may arrive along with Honami? is 3rd party lens capability for Honami still coming?

I wouldn't mind a grip like the Lumia 1020 has for camera functionality and additional battery capacity.
Also, hopeful that there will eventually be a mount for a car eventually made. |

1. your prices does not represent the price in the whole world, here in our country prices are:
HTC ONE 669 USD
S4 590 USD
Xperia Z 523 USD
guess what, Xperia Z is the cheapest of the three and is the only waterproof device in which is very important especially in asia since there are a lot of beaches here, plus dustproofing and waterproofing adds to the phone's durability as well.
2. Even if iPhone costs the same as the Xperia Z, you're still losing when you buy an iPhone, imagine a phone that cannot even send photos or files through bluetooth, something that my 7 year old nokia can easily do, also you can't switch apps on the iphone you need to close one before you can open another, my old Hazel which runs J2ME can open multiple java apps

I'm typing this on my iPad which uses iOS and works like an iPhone, I also get to use a iPhone4S and iPhone5 on a daily basis, and I've never had to close one app before opening another, no idea where you get such utter rubbish from, here's a screenshot that I took as I typed this:
App switcher in iOS.
Take note, I typed that up, then minimized Safari, opened the IMGUR app, uploaded it and then came back and continued typing, perfect example of opening an app while another....in fact, a few are open. If you're going to talk trash about another OS please insure you at the very least know what you're talking about.

With all due respect, enough with the OT please, you can discuss them over PM so we wouldn't derail this thread again.
And to answer sonysta's(which I believe is Guarulhos revision 2) comment one last time, first I must apologize for my deliberate derailing of this topic with this paragraph, now you asked me if I doubt pureview's quality, where in my previous post did I state that? I'm comparing HW vs HW here and not the pureview which is basically a software implementation. I wonder why you're so butthurt hearing this and ignored the main point of my post.
now we proceed to the technical side of things, pureview technology is awesome I must say It may produce brilliant 3/5/8MP pics, but we're looking at the year where 16MP+ cameras are the standard these days, and 808/1020 is not built for full res photography, but rather for reproducing a clean and sharp lower resolution image and Zooming without the need for large optics. I'd want nokia to built a pureview device capable of at least producing an oversampled 12 or 20MP picture rather than a meager 3/5MP as seen on the 1020, is it possible given Nokia's current capabilities? obviously not, now let's be honest here, even S4 Zoom can do the job better than 1020 on some cases, it's got farther reaching optics, and does not require oversampling a picture just to be able to call its camera Zoom capable. don't get me started over the flash range, as since galaxy Camera already outperforms 808, it only makes sense that we will expect the S4 Zoom to manage the same feat given that the physical size allows for a capacitor as large as the ones used by compact cameras. although it is a fact that 808 is superior to any smartphone cameras in the market as of this moment, we're yet to see how it would fare against Honami once it arrives so it's kind of childish to conclude that the latter will be inferior to 1020/808 despite not having seen yet what honami is capable of
once again I want to express my apologies for feeding the troll, and derailing this thread with my OT message, I merely felt the need to clarify some things to our friend here because he failed to get my point.

Same goes to you too in another thread for talking trash about playstation 3 being largely outsold by Xbox 360 but you just found out after I posted that the PS3 already outsold the Xbox 360. So please insure that you too at the very least know what you're talking about. Also what happened to your thread mocking sony users saying that the HTC one is a great threat and has already sold 5 million? turns out that info was untrue although you should've known about it knowing HTC had supply issues yet you rushed and quoted members posts and tried to mock it saying you are right and they are wrong while laughing at them using emoticons, again "please insure you at the very least know what you're talking about" before you post rubbish just like you said
About the multitasking okay I take that back, I had my experience on an older version of ios hence why I compared it with J2ME, latest updates seem to enable a feature that should've been there in the first place, but still you are limited/restricted on ios not unless you jailbreak it, you would still be itunes dependent as well as file sending/copying/sharing is still limited from ios to ios only. Which is quite silly and laughable because technology should make things easier and convenient, not the other way around. Which is why my post about you're still losing functionality when you get an iPhone over a Z or another flagship stands.
@moderators and readers of this thread
I apologize for the very long offtopic. I know It's not nice to read something like this in a forum. This will be the last of it.

Back on topic guyz, any info on that L version of Honami? What will be its availability? Worldwide? Or its gonna be like Z/ZL? For selected markets? |

^The L-version, if it exists, won't be unveiled with the normal Honami, so not at the same time. It's not like XZ/XZL.
@Honami vs Lumia 1020:
There winner is clear, in my opinion.
