The sensors at the top look a little too close to the SONY logo. When they change it for NTT DOCOMO it won't fit.

I wouldn't get too hyped up about the Honami either, Sony's phones haven't been much good in the Camera department for years.
I think the camera will be a quite a bit more than the usual effort. Don't forget that the Cyber-shot camera division is fully involved this time around.

Then please, don't, i could not care less about the docomo logo, put it in the inside so we cannot see it

AFAIK honami won't feature docomo logo on the front. Same with Z Ultra
Anyway, that pic is fake. No point discussing it

What makes you so certain it's fake? Not that I can't see it isn't the best render in the world, obviously borrowing components from popular recent handsets, but is it at least representative?
One thing that strikes as odd is the app drawer icon is one that we haven't seen before on a Sony device, perhaps taken from a newer android build?
I will be disappointed if the front of the white version has a white screen surround as suggested by this rumour.

i think a real leaked official render would include the walkman app icon for one thing. second, the app drawer icon is the same as XZU

@moogoo So it is. I looked at a few live pics in reviews and they have the 'old' style app drawer icon and so do half of the press shots, but a few have the new icon.

The app drawer icon is the new one. That part isn't fake. And if we follow the pattern, as someone said, the walkman and Sony Select icons would be there. Also, official renders wouldn't have the icon of USB connection and the date wouldn't be late June...

Nokia fans are crazy enough to post $299 with carrier contracts on deals forums where people look for crazy discount and good deals. needless to say, those posts got lots of negative feedback...
Lol. Teapot, meet kettle! Nokia fanboy, meet Sony fanboy!
Time for the fact police.
Xperia Z released in May with $630 unsubsidized price from Sony's store, with outdated S4 Pro and crap non-IPS 5" screen in tow, along with screwed up camera software. You can buy an iPhone for that money. I'm sure its a STEAL. Time to fire up that slickdeals post button.
Xperia Z released in mid-July for $580 on T-mobile. The SAME price as the far superior specced Galaxy S4 and HTC One, which were available months ago on T-mobile. Even Engadget's review of the T-mobile Xperia Z makes fun of it, saying the only people that should buy it are Sony loyalists (aka fanboy):
" So, who's this Z for? Fans of Sony style, that's who. The Xperia Z's already been outpaced by newer, more powerfully specced flagship devices on T-Mobile, like the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4 -- not to mention that Google Play editions of those two handsets and the iPhone 5 are already available. It's also priced the same as the One and GS4 at $99 with a two-year payment plan, making it a hard sell for those who want the latest and greatest in smartphone design. Toss in that subpar battery life and washed-out display, and we're hard-pressed to recommend this Xperia Z to anyone who's not a Sony loyalist."

This also, must be a STEAL. It's $50 cheaper than before! OMG my slickdeals reputation is so gonna skyrocket!
Lesson of the day:
Don't talk shit about competitor's pricing and fanbase without looking in the mirror first. I guess like they say, ignorance really is bliss. |

Agree with most parts. The US is not the world though. S(E) have always screwed up on that market. The t-mobile launch was a huge failure for Sony |
