@Ama What, would you say, is a 'reasonable' time for a item posted from London to arrive in Jbay ? I have ordered the keypad from a indian cell shop (london). I have some experience with ebay and world wide internet shopping, but never got something from England

@ Mario,
Normally (and perhaps it's prudent to say normally...) it takes 7-10 days.
After that, it's at whatever one deems as 'reasonable'...
By far the majority of post from the UK does arrive within that time frame, then again there has been the odd case where it's taken longer. Parcels are more of a lottery though, both in delivery time and if they actually arrive...
I posted you some Symbian developer's booklets and guides etc to you on Friday, which I picked up at a few stands at the Smartphone Show. So you'll also be able to gauge from that as to how long it takes to get to you, unless it gets 'intercepted' by some unsavoury character when they see a padded envelope with things of potential value inside...
I also hope that's a reputable shop that you ordered from.. if they've told you that it's sent insured, it means zilch, as parcels are only ever insured within the UK.

@pop - Yeah . . . there are also SOME factors to consider when SENDING those parcels, say, like: PLACE of sendee, time-of-year and of course - contents as DECLARED in the post office. I remember when one of those MODS here sent me a quite-valuable item in 2003, the parcel arrived almost a MONTH it so happened that it was sent during the - Christmas Rush Hour 4 . . .
To add, this thread is NEARING it's - 100th PAGE

@ Hobbster,
I've downloaded Opera Mini 3.1 and some games from getjar, but haven't installed them yet. Tonight I'm downloading from here:
http://my-symbian.com/uiq3/software/category.php?fldAuto=4
Also downloaded a few themes, wallpapers etc. Keen to see how Agile Messenger performs as well. Have you tried JAM SE to manage your music at all?
I've hardly had a chance to play with it as much as I'd have liked at this stage, caught up with admin, marking and sorting the one bike out, etc.
I'll be checking out the forums this week to see which is the best GPS platform to download as well...

@ Falcon,
Thanks boet. Yeah, so far so good with it. It's been stable so far, hasn't needed rebooting etc., which is more than I can say for the N73 when it was still on its original firmware. The N95 still remains The Specmeister though. And with that 8Gig N95 out now, well RAM shouldn't be a concern with it at all. Amazing, the pace of cellphone technology. To think it's just 6 years ago that we were being wowed by the advent of colour screens!
@ JC,
Check this comparison out:
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone2=1928&idPhone1=2087
They're much of a much specs-wise, although the Nokia has that lovely 3.5mm audio jack as standard. It's also very slim, just under 10mm, but the W580i's no porker either at 14mm.
It's that close between them; pretty much boils down to which one looks more appealing to you, taking into account the layout and shortcuts functions etc of the 2 different phones.

@HOBBS: Hope you were not the fool trying to wrestle the Cup at Newlands.
Awesome seeing the players up close albeit not personal with thousands of other Capetonians. If you've watched the news you would've seen that parts of our city centre came to halt for about an hour.
