R2D005 software for T68 Apr-18-2002
SonyEricsson have released a new software for the t68. But it is not the MMS version, which will come in May. Nothing new from R2B, but they have propably fixed a few bugs. So if you experience trouble with your phone, you can get the new R2D at a service-point.
I called my friend in Sony-Ericsson and he said that this version is available but they dont have the documentation yet. But yes, you can upgrade now.
When I asked about the freebees they will give away on Saturday, secret daw =)

Where did you have it upgraded? I talked to my contact in SE about it. The firmware is just new and they still dont have the documentation for it and they dont advise to have your phone upgraded yet. Pero i cant ressist the urge. Sana magkamali sila ng upgrade at yung MMS ang mapasok saakin =) |

@hand pup: Had it done in head office. But yeah, they usually release it only until the software is good to go, otherwise phone might crash daw. As to MMS, a bit useless pa daw since Smart and Globe don't carry it yet, or do they? Anyway, what's the use of having MMS if you can't use it. Unless it's by BT or IR. In which case, kausapin mo na lang yung ka BT and IR mo. |

Just had a meeting with someone from SE Phils. Yes the software update for T68 phones to R2B is already here locally with SE Phils. (hehe good news for most of the guys here  ) But... they wont be released yet officially so dont go rallying to SE Phils office asking, for only selected ppl there knows about it. (This are FYI only)
Ived already tested out a T68m with the R2B already and compared it with my T68i. Bad news is (like Handsome Puppy said in his last post) there is no MMS feature yet. And i dont know if its true but from what was told to me is that the MMS was not put in because it cannot be accomodated to the memory of the T68 (which means that the T68i has more memory than the T68 brother  ). Again, its what i think it is and it doesnt mean that its final. I'll discuss more in the EB on my review coz theres more.
