gusto nyo maging technical?
if you added memory to your PC to make it faster, what do you call that? replace? NO, it is upgrade.
if we put in more interface boards to a mobile switching center to increase capacity, what do you call that? replace? NO, it is upgrade.
so upgrade does not necessarily mean replacing it in every context.
baka nasanay lang kayo na when you upgrade your firmware, you lose the old one.

correct! if i have a brand new P900 and i sell it to get a brand new P910, that's still an upgrade - even if i literally replaced my unit

yup! i've been with Sun for more than 24 months and counting.
but, since sun hasn't any "Membership retention program", i'm considering switching to smart that gives free phones every two years to keep their subscribers... too bad sun doesn't have that program...
by the way, i like MPx so much, i've been waiting for tHAT unit. |

@ex_crusader
eto nagtitiis sa services ng Sun. Dati calls at night lang mahirap. Now pati SMS parusa.
Parang ok pa tuloy ang mag Daylite para 12 days instead of the usual 7 days. Hinde ren naman makatawag sa gabi e.

@ex crusader,
You mentioned you want mpx that much.If you are referring to the motorola mpx, mayroon isang 2nd hand unit sa robinsons place sa padre faura. Much much lower than the price at the mall. Isang motorola mpx at isang katutak na 3g clamshell phones ng motorola,SE z1010 at NEC na kalahati ng features hindi naman magamit dahil walang 3g pa sa pinas.
If i am not mistaken, the price of the mpx is around 20k.
Sorry, off reply sa thread.
With regards to Sun, bottom line is after all its poor service and signal, kung wala ang radical pricing ng SUN, hindi magbaba ng call rates ang Smart and Globe. Yun nga lang, benefitted lang ang mga prepaids. Look nowadays...because of Sun, smart's promo of php 10 for a 3 minute call or php 15 peso for a 5 minute call translates to 3 pesos per minute. In the long run, we the consumers win. However... lugi yung mga post paid kasi on the average plan, the cost per minute translates to 5 peso/minute (for 1200 to 1800 smart plan) for Smart and Globe.

people, just want to get your opinion on this matter... plano ko kasi magpa-line sa SUN. sabi sakin ng customer representative ng sun "pwede daw i-enable ang CTU sa mga postpaid subscribers AT NO EXTRA COST". napaisip tuloy ako, ano ang difference ng naka-subscribe sa CTU @ sa hindi naka-subscribe kung pareho lang naman ang babayaran nila?

The lowest plan at Sun right now is P350/month, correct me if i'm wrong. There's an alloted free SMS and Call Minutes. Now, if you want your Sun to Sun calls/text to be unlimited, they will charge you P250/month from your P350 monthly subs. But this won't be on top of your monthly. What will happen is that the P250.00 will go to Sun to Sun CTU, then the remaining P100 will be for your call/text for other networks. This is recommended when you have many friends or colleagues on Sun Network. What they meant by enabling it without extra cost, is, they won't be charging you for any fee for the activation.
