I can't download the free wallpapers from Esato. I can navigate, but either by browsing or by selecting the wallpaper number, the wallpaper loads but the when I press Yes or select "Alternate download" the phone complains of an error in the page and to try another connection.
How can I save the wallpapers? (or rather, how do YOU save the wallpapers?)
[edit] OK, it must be the gateway like it says in the Esato FAQ, because I was able to download the preview thumbnail, but not the image. Now what?[/edit]

tigas, we do it the same way as you did, try with small wp first if none works perhaps theres a problem with your carrier, which phone are you using?
now? nothing, if the problem is your carriers gateway. download the wp to you computer and then upload it to your phone using a cable, BT or Ir.

Let's see now: I have an Ericsson MC218: it accesses the net by WAP and has IR, but I can't save the logo to upload it later; I have a PC with no IR nor Bluetooth and no cable (no help there), and an Apple Powerbook with a crippled IR stack that can't send or receive anything (Apple forgot to program IrOBEX; they just have a wonderful OBEX implementation over bluetooth...) Oh, and the T39m is not "browseable" by bluetooth: it's an older version of Bluetooth...
I'm hosed, then. My provider blocks other gateways, too, and it must have a 1.5K limit like Orange...
(sorry, it seems I *still* haven't enough posts to show my avatar: I have a T39m)

I'll try Sailing Clicker's Ericsson Client and see if I can make my Mac's IrDA port work and beam the image. Fingers crossed, I'll try tomorrow...

@bobafett: sorry for the late reply
my T39m is a year and 7 months old, i got it as brand new with flip count of 10, using original BUS-11, which still have a stand by time of 3 ~ 4 days, i don't use it much often, as back up phone. it has tha latest firmware.

I guess it's KINDA hard to find for an ORIGINAL T39m battery here in Manila nowadays, as I can SEE only 'replacement/class A' ones - Php 200.00 ! |

Yes that's true, it's quite difficult to find original Ericsson batteries nowadays. Here in Argentina there are no batteries for t39/r520 disponibles as far as I know, so I have to look for them on eBay... But most of them are just compatible ones, not originals.
I read here that /// phones are delicates with their batteries (and I like them for that: makes me think of OSX that is a bit fidly with non-Apple certified RAM memory ), so I preferred to pay a little bit more and buy an original one. But probably in a few years there will be only generic batteries for our old phones...
