Is this the T28 Serial Data Cable I need to allow me to de customize my K700i?

In the download area, you'll find a Word document which has a table of all the various fimware's and language files. READ THIS!!!! Choose the set of languages you want from the table and see which language file you'll need. I'll probably use K700_EU5.K7L which has English, French, German & Italian
I noticed someone had used the credit that was there with the username/password log-in I provided! Cheeky!!

i used them files, ive jsut got an error message which reads error occured: 0x002b65

I'm still awaiting my cable to arrive so haven't got as far as you yet - just been reading lots and lots in preparation.

when u wanna buuy the cable, u gotta make sure it says "sony erricson unlock cable" or "t28 SERVICE cable" dont get DATA as SERVICE and DATA are 2 different things. well... maybe your could by a DATA cable and change it into a SERVICE as i found in a forum on this page that if you can solder well, u can change the pins to turn it into both DATA and SERVICE cable. probably not worth the hassle. jus find a SERVICE/UNLOCK cable. DATA is only for transfering files etc. the place where i bought mine from is from www.faceoffmobiles.com which come bundled with a credit aswell for 15 pound. i already sed that in the last post. any who the cable shouyld be with me by friday i think. i ll tell you how it goes..., also i heard that if you dwnload the latest version of total sever, you can get the next new firmware for your k700 .

After you flash your K700 with MultiServer, you will ONLY have T9 in English. If you NEED T9 in another language, contact me.
As for the R2AA003 firmware, don't waste another credit to upgrade to it. There really aren't any bug fixes that make it worth it. It should be available on the SE online update site soon anyhow (once your phone is unbranded you can update online for free).
I still have MultiServer credits available for $9US.

How many credits would I need to unbrand and update my unlocked O2 phone to the latest firmware? I live in the USA and use T-Mobile's service. I purchased one credit from Face-Off, and they haven't even given me a username or password yet. Hopefully all I'll need is one... And hopefully they'll send me my information. Somebody, please help! |

When i bought my credit from face off via the paypal thing, once you pay, the next screen it loads has your username + password on it.
Unless they have changed the system, u must have just closed the window!
email him and ask...
you only need 1 credit to de-brand
and if you want to unlock to any network,that requires an extra credit... read the guide i said that in there.

Faceoff emails the credits out after you order. They are in the UK, so it is well out of their business hours. You should have the login information in your mailbox tomorrow morning. |

Unlocked and debranded my Vodafone K700 last night by following iamcrunchie's guide at the beginning of this thread. I'm only now beginning to appreciate the functions on this phone having managed to wipe clean VF's vandalism.

I really hope their next version supports the DSS-2x stands... I went out and bought a DSS Sync Station because I was told I needed it to update my firmware, and now I'm being told I need a different cable... argh, for having the same connectors for all the Sony phones, they sure have a lot of different cables. |

I want to unbrand my O2 branded SE K700i.
I read already all posts from all forums.
Finally I think that the Total Multiserver is what I'm looking for.
I've prepared data cable but right now I have a big problem: I live in Romania and I can't buy credit for unbranding because I can't buy it online.
Otherwise I don't now how can I buy this credit!
Can anyone help me?

Is the speed of the PC used to perform the flash important to its success?
As a Mac user I've only got access to a really old 200Mhz AMD K6 based PC running Windows Me at work.
Is the update likely to work on such an old and slow PC? Or does it not matter?
For what its worth, I've updated the firmware of an old Sony CMD-J70 phone using the same PC, and that worked ok.

Ok, exactly which files should i have downlaoded from the server in order to flash my o2 phone and get rid of all the crap, so that i can update using the online update as well. I have alreaddy cocked up once so don't want to cock up again, please help |
