well that apparently happened dec last year, and the guy had the phone for 8 months before that - by no means a recent batch. Just shows it can happen any time with electrical things. I have seen an iron and a TV short before (separate incidents btw!) but never tried touching them or the plugs afterwards - can't believe that guy did so and burnt himself.

kids, don't play with electricity or fire. especially you pyro BonC!!

My T610 charger is made in Thailand by Delta (03W25). I've had no problems with it so far (approx 2 months). And I have it plug in the wall 24/7. It's the euro-version though with only two pins.

Fine from a here (bt broadband, though that doens't help).

It could just be the mass hysteria from this thread making myriads of confused people checking the site.

Am I alone in thinking that even when the site (UK) is working, it really doesn't tell you anything like recent news etc..?

well i can never find anything i need on the orange website, but that's beside the point. As bossjohnc pointed out there will be an SE press release next week, and it seems unlikely any networks would make details available before then...

hahahaha Vlam!
Long time no see! hahaha
I can connect to www.vodafone.co.uk,for example, but orange.co.uk nothing at all. Nevermind.

My wife has a T310, and the charger writes:
Standard charger CST-13
BML-......
Output: 4.9V=450mA

Model: NADP-2EB A
Made in Thailand by Delta!!!!

If anything happens to me, my wife, my little girl( 40 days old), you will see me on CNN.Trully, speaking.

PS: ....and if the worst happens, I will not go to Amsterdam for Christmas!
I know that I don't know anything.

@ shaggyhog - yeah fair point, but I mean EVER! I liked their old black site which at least looked pretty.

Really early on in this thread i noticed that someone (can't recall who) said that the T610 was out of stock for anything. As my contract expires on the 21st i've been checking to see if the web site still have it in stock for an upgrade, and it has been out of stock for at least a month.

Does anyone want to cast aspertions as to how long SE will be off the shelves?

Hi chazz welcome to esato
I too liked the old black site and could eventually find stuff there. But none of my accounts ever work properly on the site, haven't done for months.

Apparently orange recalled lots of T610s a couple of months ago because they forgot to put manuals in the boxes, i think it lasted a couple of weeks for some suppliers. Now chargers as well...
