Just had a queen thought, if you work in a small company & get on well with the boss u could come up north to buy the phone on behalf of "the company" using your ROI vat number and get away without paying it. Save you 17.5% if it worked.

Hey Neil,

Don't you know there are no small companies in Ireland... It's all American multinationals down south.... So no chance on the VAT scam... Still thinking of buying online....

Found a guy on ebay, an Aussie that is selling a T630 sim free for + case for AU$422 + AU$45 shipping worldwide for just under 290 yoyos or for your benfit £193 stg... That's the cheapest I've seen so far for it... Hhhhmmmm
Every time I learn something new it pushes some old stuff out of my brain!

Say NO to NOkia and Fianna Fail

@ Deffgoat. You do realise that there is no such country as Eire? Its either Ireland or Rep of Ireland. anywho, now that I have that off my chest... Im really surprised at how many people are having probs getting hold of S/e phones and Accesories in Ireland!. Its not that hard!! Both Voda and o2 have the 610 and p900 and yes I know the t630 is taking a while but we will see that v soon. Any Irish user with a p900? What do you think of it?

The problem with Ireland is that it is too much "Network Controlled", Which means theyre the only companies who have the buying power.

Eg If they want SE they have to order a certain amount. And they feel the market demand isnt big enough to meet this amount.

Where as everyone in this country know nokia and therefore want nokia.(People here dont like change)

And nokia will agree to networks that they can take what they want, because they know they will sell for sure.

This means networks will only push nokia and promote them alot more.

Its a pity its like this, I would love to see more makes pushed in this country. ESPECIALLY SE.

Cheers.

Yes, well at this point and time i feel that it is important that people should understand that to buy a P900 on O2 Contract in the ROI is as expensive as getting it new and sim free from some places in the UK!

Outrageous!

@RedCrow & Deffgoat, I think perhaps you are both living in the past. We ceased to be known as Eire at the end of British rule at the beginnig of the last century. We then became a Republic. I'm not trying to insult either of you, I'm just stating fact. However, If you both insist on using "as Gaeilge", Then you live in Eireann.
