T610 and HBH-30 crackle noise problem |

I have similar experience using T68/ HBH-10, HBH-30 & HBH-60 and now T610 / HBH-30 & HBH-60.
I suspect T610 drains to much power as compare with T68. This deprives the phoneset sufficient power supply to transmit bluetooth signal to the HBH-30.
A fully charged T68 will last me 4 days as compared with 2 days on T610. |

Do what I did, ring Celestica on a daily basis and sit in there call queue for approx 45 mins a day. Guarenteed to irritate ya!

Well.............. 3 weeks and 1 day later................
I got my phone back
Theres some good stuff and some bad..
I am on T-Mobile, but for some "odd" reason I have the vodafone LIVE logo on the right (soft) key, and I cant bloody change it to any other option !!!!!!!! - does anyone know how I can (if at all)
WHY did they upgrade it to the vodafone live version ?
The good news is the Bluetooth now functions very well, perhaps a 2% crackle in the background, which to me is perfectly acceptable.
ALSO - the echo that the person on the other end of the phone hears is STILL there, weird...
Would really appreciate some help on the vodafone live key thing, if anyone knows how to turn it back to the OLD options that the phone has.

......If I thought I could get a new phone, and that it would have R1L firmware and WORK !!!!!! then I would, but right now I am Soooooo happy that the BT works fine..
Only thing that I am really pissed about is that it has VODAFONE LIVE !!!!! as an option, and I am on T-Mobile, I'd just be happy to get rid of that stupid option on the right hand key.

Another update......
I decided to take the phone back to the local service centre as I couldnt stand the Vodafone live logo ! (after all - there are functions on the right key that I cant get to easily now). Anyway. they "flashed" the firmware again, and.............. the vodafone live logo was STILL THERE !!!
They have now sent the phone back to Celestica (again) who will (i hope) sort it with the NON Vodafone firmware and send it back to me direct..
I'm hoping to get it back by the end of the week (a big hope)
Will give y ou all another update as soon as I have news..

... Update (again)
I didn't get my phone back today, when I asked my local service agent to call Celestica to find out, they said..
"We're replacing the phone with a brand new one as we can't seem to work this one out", unfortunately we are out of stock until Next friday (19th Sept) we will send out one on that day.
I wonder if it will have Vodafone Live firmware on it ? or.. will be be R1A firmware ...

Using the T610 with a HBH-60 is frustrating:
1.) crackling noise. Using the same headset with a Nokia 6310i or 8910i produces wonderful audio quality
2.) sometimes the HBH-60 doesnŽt connect to the phone when trying to make a phonecall. Embarrassing, because the receiver of the call starts talking in the phone while the caller sits waiting with the headset.
SE has replaced both my T610 and the HBH-60 twice (!) because of that. Both problems are still on.
Having made these experiences, and having read all your comments, I have to say: no doubt that there is a construction failure in the T610 which SE is not willing/able to resolve.
A shame. The T610 is a great phone. The HBH-60 is a great headset. But they donŽt work together. I think IŽll start using Nokias again. |

They DO work together, but you need to have the firmware upgrade to the R1L version first.
and hope that they don't put the vodafone live branded version on the phone(unless of course you're a vodafone subscriber) !

Thats not always the case. My firmwares been upgraded, and my phone crackles worse than before and still keeps dropping connection!
The firmware upgrade seems to be a bit hit and miss, somne people are lucky, others arn't.

@tommyb1.....im currently using a t610 (R1L) (03W31) and an HBH-60. I havent experienced the "crackling noise problem". My guess is that the problem is not in the T610 per se but on certain T610 units.
