Guys, Called 200 Hotline again and asked for proces.. this time they answered me in a bit rowdy way.. the guy on the other line was obviously not that informed about the rates but is talking to someone on the phone answering my questions... He said everytime you connect to GPRS (login) you get billed 2.00 and if you are just surfing.. you are not billed... but if you download an application they say you also get billed 2.00.... so if this is true.. you could surf all day for free and just get billed 2.00 for the initial login... IF THIS IS TRUE!... I guess... the guys at SUN are still confused how they are going to bill us...can anyone call 200 and ask how are we billed?... coz i am really confused...

NOTE: Growing Pains are really confusing!

@gondae,
I guess the lesson here is experiment with GPRS on a prepaid SIM, not a postpaid plan! Evidently Gokongwei's people still have to get their act together and the GPRS customers are giving them a lot of confusion...

Their CS doesnt even know wap over gprs and csd and its rates.Confussing!Iv noticed that CS tends to end ur query asap and theyr always a bit high pitchd(somewhat pressurd in answering).We just hv to bear wid their growing pains but it shld not be an excuse all the time.

Now they are talkin'.... called CS again this morning and she has an answer to the billing rates... it's final 25 cents will be billed for every byte downloaded / uploaded. But, to my dismay.. the CS told me a different rate the other day and i used GPRS>.. now they told me another rate... What the @!!@@&** so how will my GPRS access yesterday be billed? Sana lang i wish CS would really now.. all the technical things their customers are asking.

But.. Sun is still a nice service though.

PS.
You can change your op logo for sun by configuring it in logomanager as (515 05) Operator....

Hi... got a couple of questions regarding Sun Cellular. Hope someone can help me =)

1. Presently, how is the signal coverage and signal strength of Sun Cellular, is it already at par with Globe and Smart?

2. How is the voice call quality and SMS service? I read in this thread that there were some SMS that didn't arrive. Does this still happen?

Thanks a lot guys

Cheers!

My answers.. I have two SUN Cellular SIMS Postpaid and Prepaid

1. Signal... I'ts not that great but satisfying... i went to Baguio from Angeles City and the signal was impressive... in my room full bar... in my girlfreinds house... 1 bar to no signal... some places indoors have no signal.. but it;s a good start... wide coverage for a network months old...

2. I haven;t experienced late messages sent... but messages received i have.. but not that frequently...
