That certainly looks better Sean. Shame the sun isn't always going to be out !! it seems to struggle more with grass and trees

Your images I clicked on them they look ok just tinker with settings mess around with it alot. We got the bad storms coming tonight bet you will too Would love some crisp autumn sunshine again. Most parts of the images are well detailed just the corners are soft but not too noticable at normal viewing

Aye better baten down the hatches this storm is going to be a big one and its going to be tricky getting decent sunlight shots now the clocks have changed plus I go to work when it dark now and I come home when its dark also leaving a very small window to get the shots taken.

The upcoming storms do look like they will cause some disruption, hopefully not too much !!
I really want to get on with this phone, I just need the camera to improve somewhat

I know how you feel when you changed phone and now something else is a let down. I think the camera is good but in some conditions a little inconsistent but despite that smooth refresh rate on the screen you still gotta have steady hands. I found out last night that videos in low light in superior auto come out a bit poo but manual is better. I took videos at the Birmingham Light show. You need a bit of patience and time to get it right but videos in daylight are fine

I think that the update to 4.3 or even 4.4 will bring some major changes to the quality if I remember it was mentioned on the Z1 thread that due to better image quality the file size will increase I cant remember exactly what was posted but it does seem a major update for the camera is on the cards

I had a Sony HX9V digital camera once with AVCHD video format which was the best I ever seen and amazing 16 meg images. This phone is close but not quite there and in future Sony will improve but saying that I think it's a great phone. I shall upload another image of my screen how it looks too Also with Quad Core & 2 gig ram am sure this phone will easily get upto 4.4 and even Android 5.0 or is that asking too much from Sony

Knowing Sony UK's update schedule youll never see Android 5
It is a great phone but the camera, at present is not a patch on my Lumia 1020 im afraid.
@ XperiaJunkie did you have a look at your software ID ? Im just interested to see how long ill have to wait to get updated on my unbranded XZ1
Thanks

Yeah that was earlier this week in Bournville,Birmingham. When the sun shone I just had to get out. To make autumn colours pop I use cloudy white balance

Thanks for that. Bloody typical, branded firmware getting updated before sim free. Just like the XZ scenario. I should receive this update just before Xmas I would expect

chances are you will receive the .259 version as I think that maybe the sim free variant but I could be wrong
