Xperia Z hands-on round-up...
Everybody's praising the phone.... They're going crazy about the design & processor... After a loooooong-time I'm seeing such reviews for a Sony hand-set.... Well done, Sony, You're back... So much WIN...
All hail the KING...!!!
PS : Only one negative thing they're pointing out about Z is viewing-angles...(That doesn't matter anyway)... |

I think Eldar's words sum it up well " . I want to say there is something missing, but in fact there is nothing.”." |

@Karun @Indiandawg.. Even Random said that he got an information from a Sony center that Z would release in India by march... Great news for India indeed...
Ya the only issue is it might come without LTE
Yeah. Even I think so.

Black Xperia Z?
Na bro, I'll surely be going for the White Xperia Z
I have to say, after a long time I'll be using a true flagship Sony Smartphone. After p990i I doubt there were really any true flagship phones from SE or Sony.
Interesting. But I think X1 was amazing in it's time as well.
I also think that yes Z is almost perfect.
Just this f.... camera button.
If we could map some other keys to it...

I'm almost certain i will be getting the Z. Just in two minds as to whether to go for the black or the white. The black looks very sleek, and looks more classy than the white. Though if i go for the black one, with it being a fingerprint magnet, i can see me forever cleaining it. I had the same problem when i had the Sony Ericsson K850 too. The white looks pretty cool though.
Decisions decisions..

Does anyone know if it will come with a charging dock in the UK? We never do normally.

I had X1 and I remember I was miles away with the technology because at that point iPhone was launched. The X1 touchscreen could not match up with iPhone for obvious reasons. WM was way behind than iOS that time.
X10/Arc S/XS/XT are all high end smartphones but not like top end. XZ is the best smartphone in the market without a doubt. It's got everything and it's water/dust resistant!
T200 -> T68i -> T610 -> K700i -> P910i -> W800i -> P990i -> M600i -> P1-> Nokia E71 -> X1i -> X10 -> Arc S -> Sony Z1 -> Sony Z Ultra -> Sony Z3+ -> iPhone 6 -> iPhone 7 Plus -> iPhone X -> iPhone XS Max |

The opinion of a Sony employee on XZ.
I can't comment on the battery life because firstly I use an email intensive app which totally screws with the battery life of every phone and secondly I experiment a lot with the phone which hurts the battery life a lot. But it still lasts one full day so I'll say they've done a good job on this area. Forgot that the software also has some debugging features enabled with extra logging etc which definitely has an effect on the battery.
In general I have the following comments:
- Big screen but I love the design and the feeling on my hand. Being very slim also helps here.
- Lovely screen, high density surely helps with browsing
- Sound quality is very good, mic quality just fine, I just wish it had 2 speakers instead of one.
- Fast, smooth etc etc etc Full HD doesn't seem to slow down any functions.
- There is a quick settings bar on top with only some fixed quick settings: sound, bt, wifi, data and access to settings menu. You can't hide it.
- There are some Xperia integration features as before, eg facebook, myxperia. Timescape indeed missing, Socialcast is lighter but still buggy.
- Has MSC mode as an alternative to MTP
- The task list soft key also gives you access to small apps
- I don't like the Xperia launcher but I never did |

@doministry
I totally agree with you! The X1 was my last SE device and my first Smartphone. It just felt premium in my hands. Yes the touchsreen wasn't capacitive but Windows Mobile wasn't made for finger use so it doesn't really matter. After that I used HTC Desire, Galaxy Note, Nexus S and few others. But non of them felt premium. The only device I know with such a feeling is the iPhone and I think Sony finally did it aigian with the XZ. And if it wasn't that huge it would be my next device. |

Guys, looks like it's not Dragontrail everyone is raving about!

They say it uses durable tempered glass that has equiv specs to Gorilla/Dragontrail.....so it's like gorilla+dragon-trail....hmmm even better ......it should be fine if it has same specs as dragontrail.... |
