Yep this is Arc/Arc S but this combined with previous rumor that Arc`s succesor will have less letters in it`s name we can suggest it would be just Xperia HD. |

I would love to see a flip phone similar to the Sharp 007SH Hybrid, but for the global market
Considering Sony's release of the Tablet P, and numerous other unusual form factors across devices such as the VAIO laptops, I think something like this is more likely to come from them then anyone else. |

Is the reason for the price drop on the XPlay to make way for the XPlay II?

With ps vita just released and sonyericsson becoming more "sony", play 2 is rather unlikely. |

Play2 is now more likely than ever. There is the iPod and its more expensive brother with GSM abilities called iPhone. They live together and the same games work on both. Yes, iPod is a game console. Why don't you think Sony will do the same by making a phone with Vita hardware? People would have a choice then - buy cheaper console or get both in one device a phone and Vita. |

Far from it being unlikely - smartphones are highly profitable and Playstation is a very powerful brand. Now Sony has full control of the mobile arm it looks more likely than ever.

@pawfyd. Apple and Sony are companies with very different strategies. Its not like they sit at the lunch table together and decide to make similar decisions.
Predictions - Arc successor, Neo successor and MAYBE something new(wild card to keep things interesting). |

I think the same as you for CES, but for the next event, the one in Barcelona (forgot the name), I see a X8/Ray sucessor, Mini Pro sucessor and a Pro sucessor.
I don't get people. Never Have, never will. |

Since this is now Sony rumours thread also I think this can be discussed here.
According to latest rumors this device with a 10.1 inch screen hybrid pc/tablet/laptop will be launched in 2012 in both Android ICS and Windows 8 flavors
Maybe we will see it next week at CES.

Fascinating, if this true then Sony is going head to head with the Asus EeePad Slider

IF Sony are onto a tablet/PC hybrid before the end of the year I'll be all over it. As I was going to go for the ASUS Transformer Prime when that's out, but I'll wait to see if there is any competition.
I'd like to see where you read these rumours.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

I've been eagerly awaiting that device for quite some time, it was shown as a concept in the same event that displayed the current VAIO Z (as a concept, so this was over 6 months ago or so) and announced the Sony S1 & S2 as they were known at the time.
It would be awesome if it was a dual-boot machine, then I would buy it no questions asked. Android only would prob be a no-go, but Windows 8 would give me some thought. |

Looks great from those pictures, I bet it will be very sexy in the flesh.
On another note, I hope the non-removable battery rumours aren't true and if they are, it doesn't become standard on all devices. It'll be a bad move.
