I wish you guys would start resizing your pictures down a little, for those of us that have fairly old computers they simply cannot handle pages with full size multiple 12mp images displayed. Plus they're way to big to view when running a fairly average screen resolution. Most of the time i simply hit stop on my browser and dont bother viewing such images.

Id rather see them resized down to 800x600 or 1024x768..

Anyone know a good way of resizing pictures to post on the forum for when they're taken in portrait ?

You resized the landscape photos with Imageshack I guess, so why don't you do the same with portraits?!

Anyway, any decent software should do it.. There are a whole lot of variety from highly priced ones to free ones.. Down to the native Windows program as well..

Just don't use the N8 native photo editor.. It's poor in this aspect. Well, actually just poor in general.

@ false_morel - if i upload a picture taken in portrait and choose to resize, imageshack flips it sideways !

It doesnt matter anyway, i dont post many portrait images.

Sadly, the following images were all taken with really cold numb hands, therefore they were rushed and sadly i screwed up the EV and focus in some shots, due to shivering my a** off here in the UK..

@ etaab

It's weird tha Imageshack has rotated your portraits!
I tried it out and they stayed in portrait..

Anyway, you could rotate them back in Imageshack..
Just click the edit button at teh right of the thumbnail of the photo you want to rotate..

As to the photos you uploaded, you said you played with the EV on some.. Well, some of those are clearly overexposed. You clipped all the detail on those stream and swan photos!!
What did you exactly do?!
Because in the Exif everything seems ok!!

I basically went with full automatic settings for all the pictures except the first, which i jumped the EV way up too high. It was a very dull dark day on Saturday and after the first picture i took came out dark i tried pumping up the EV.

Anyway im happy with those pictures, they just could have been better. Heres the portrait resized with imageshack and rotated..

@jake20, thank you.
For night shots i use the automatic mode and i increase the sharpness and
the contrast, then i decrease the brightness
