Seeing the dummy phone hung on the wall in CPW the Galaxy does look huge compared to other phones around it, but to a man like me with large hands its ideally sized. Big enough to hold and get a good grip on. Possibly a bit too slippery though !
Been looking at taking one out on a £25p/m contract, free phone, so its fairly cheap.

No its not really what I would class as big at all. The x10 is big and very heavy and also felt top heavy like I was going to drop it all the time despite it having a rubber feel to the back. The Samsung does not slip out of my hand easy.

I didnt think the X10 was like that, i'll have a feel the next time i see my friend and his X10. I havent managed to hold a Galaxy just yet without it being tethered to the display cabinet so cannot comment.
Could you post some live pictures of yours with the screen on ?

Look on page 4 of this thread I already posted some photos of mine    The more I use the camera the more I notice it's the worst part about the phone although HD video is excellent. But who cares it's a great phone it's not a camera & the snaps look good for viewing fun snaps on it's screen

How about the loudspeaker quality ? i heard its pretty poor. I dont think the camera is all that bad at all, only those first few pictures i saw of yours looked a bit too colourful.

Ah nooooo way is the speaker poor it's very crisp sound loud not tinny & it's very loud when it rings or when you get a message. I heard mine last night across the other side of the house when I got an emal. More importantly call quality is loud & clear unlike the x10 in which you could not hear a word said even indoors it was terrible. And signal is fine too. Samsung in some of their models use the speaker the same one as the earpiece but not in this one. The speaker on the back is great & I can hear it also go off on a busy street

Ah its just after seeing the review on the smartphone show (Steve Litchfields review) he mentioned if the speaker grill get covered up you wont stand a chance of hearing it when the phone rings if its covered up.

No when it was in my jacket pocket against the cloth I heard it fine. And I don't mean to keep refering back to comparing it to other models but it's much louder & clearer than the x10 speaker

From my experience its not hard to be louder than a SE loudspeaker.

  Just taken these from back door in evening sunlight on full sharpness setting. Looks better  though the sky detail does come out a little grainy on closer inspection

Man that sound not good. Hope Samsung at-least update SGS to android version 3.
Advance Task Killer apps got a update. you should update if you are using it although nothing visual change.
