just got myself one of these but I have a problem in that only the track name appears in the display, no artist or album details. Music is properly tagged and all details display fine on my C901. Music is on the memory card. Anyone else have this problem? The official SE info seems to only mention track name will be displayed but I see from the pictures that artists names are appearing for some. What could be the issue here?

I got mine yesterday. I should mention I live in New Zealand and nobody here is selling them, so I had to have it shipped from the UK. The shipping cost more than the purchase price, and I had to pay another $9 for an adaptor so I could plug the UK charger into a NZ wall socket!

I love this thing! I'm using the slightly better quality ear buds that came with my phone (SE WM995a) and am very happy with the functionality, sound quality, etc. I have had no problems adjusting the volume, which many people have reported. I got it on literally the second attempt and have had no problem since. You do know you have to touch the volume slider twice - once to "activate" it, and the second time to actually make the adjustment?

My only (minor) complaint would be that, apart from the OLED display itself, there is hardly any surface on this thing that doesn't have a button on it! The Call button is right opposite the end of the clip, the two sides are taken up with either the volume slider or the Previous, Start/stop and Next buttons, the On/off button is on the end... it's almost impossible to touch it anywhere without accidentally pressing something. I keep skipping to the next track!

Regarding this business about track/artist/album names appearing in the display, it's only supposed to be the track name. In the picture where Bjork - All Is Full of Love shows, I would guess that somehow your phone thinks that full line is the song title. It may be something to do with how you imported the music files to your phone...

interesting that you managed to get the unit ti display the whole thing, something must affect it then. I will experiment tonight to see if I can get similar results. It would be a bit annoying to have to remove spaces from all my music just for this minor issue when a simple firmware update would fix it. I can remove all the spaces with something like Tag&Rename but I'd rather not have to do it, I've got 30000 tracks, it will take ages to run through and change them all!

Another thought though, surely the device is using ID tags for the information, the spacing in the actual filenames should make no difference, unless it is ignoring tags and trying to work out the information from the filename by itself, but that would seem pointless when all the tag info is already there. Perhaps it's a tag version issue, I'll play around with tag versions tonight and see what I get.

It doesn't work for me. I've tried al lmaner of tags and taking spaces out of filenames and it only ever displays the track name. I thing this is by design, which seems like a ridiculous waste of an OLED display. Maybe SE ill release a firmware update to change it but I doubt it.

I can only assume that the tracks that work for don't have proper tags, if there's no tag at all it must just use the filename or perhaps you have the title tagged as the track name and artists all in the title tag?

The only solution presently we have. Not only for mw600 but ds980 and other handsets with display as well. I think, i dont remember exactly, Same thing was with my hpm 90 as well.

Hi, I've paired my mw600 with my x10, but I don't get any track information at all. Anyone else have this problem? I tried it with tracks imported with Media Go, downloaded from Play Now, and just ordinairy mp3's downloaded from the web. It just seems my x10 doesn't send any info at all. It does work with my P1i.

Just ordered an MW600 from mobilecityonline.... which seems to have an outrageous deal! ONLY $49.99 USD with $7 USD for shipping. Everywhere else I've seen it going for close to $100. This is half price. Amazing... They sell out quick so if you want one, i suggest going NOW.

By the way, is it possible to stream while the BT is put on charge (for instance while you streaming to a stereo) ?

No.
Once it detects external power, it shuts off forcefully.
