yea, surely this topic will make him a bighead, but hey.. i just want to tell the world about my opinion and that's about it. if he read my comment then thanks God. if he doesn't at least guys at esato read mine and that's totally fine with me. I just don't think SE deserves such a criticism, when i think they started to change the way the play the game to follow what we've been wanting it to be (no cybershot nor the walkman thingy, you simply got everything in your hand and japanese design!!!), yet Eldar has landed such a harsh criticism which i think a bit unfair for them.
I would have considered that finally Sony Ericsson realize that they've been playing dirty game that they shouldn't have and now they regret it and started to give what people want. We would love it even more if they put down their habit of putting hefty price tag on their rather complacent phones. |

He is SOOO anti-SE that he even said the C905 camera takes better images than N86, in the N86 review  http://is.gd/110dP ,yep he realy is biasd and totaly anti-SE.

Did he just say the N86 has better Audio quality and looks better then the W995? He might not be anti-se but come on are you for real? Wow. Just wow. If anything the W995 is its competitor as they sport almost everything the same down to the kickstand. And fyi SE had the first kickstand phone. |

Looks are down to the customer, to me both N86 and W995 are beautiful devices although the W995 looks a bit too busy for my liking. I think what he means by W995 not being a competitor is because the N86 is an All-in-one smartphone capable of LOADS more thanx to 3rd party apps and modding community, whereas W995 is a dumbphone, i think thats why he feels Innov8 is more of a competitor which makes complete sense IMO, and you know it does. Trust me when it comes to things like gaming, video playback etc. . the N86 WILL absolutely walk all over W995.
Music quality wise anything is possible considering N86 has a StarCore DSP at 250mhz and im assuming the AIC33 DAC as in its chipset to handle audio.
SE was the 1st with a Kickstand phone? Uhm nice to know. Which phone was that though just out of curiosity?

@gucci- Check out Phonearenas version of the review, the one concerning the n97. The N97 supposedly has a new dsp running for it, but still falls short of the W980. |

You're taking that ONE line to prove that the man is an unbiased beacon of justice? Why didn't you post the whole line so that we could see it in context?

That's like saying "Yeah, that chick is kinda hotter than my girlfriend, but she's a slut and probably has herpes". 
Let's see some famous Eldarisms:
- He commented on the build quality of the W302 by looking at SPY PICS and criticized SE for taking a high-end product, taking out ALL the metal parts and selling it as a cheap phone. When the phone came out, it had a metal face plate. The article was then edited.
- When Nokia degraded the E 75 to create the cheap, plasticky 5730 Xpressmusic, he basically proclaimed it as a masterstroke. THEY DID THE SAME FRIGGIN THANG!
- He said the Aino only has 12 touch sensitive dots, when ALL the videos show that the screen has full touch functionality (With swipe gestures, icon dragging etc). Just not in the main menu. And why the hell would it have 12 touch sensitive dots when the touch isn't in effect in the main menu?
Maybe he wasn't invited to the announcement to eat all the free food and had to "borrow" a press release and approximate the features.
- Apparently, he is oblivious to the fact that cellphone makers agreed on universal chargers, memory cards and has never heard of SE's factory in Beijing.
...and many more that have been pointed out several times.

Also, there are loads of people who buy smartphones and use it like a dumbphone without ever installing an app (I see this more with the symbian phones though. WinMo owners pimp the everliving shit out of their phone). In that way, the W995 and the N86 ARE competitors in the market.

Not getting into much details about what Eldar said, the truth is he's bored with  , just like pretty much 99% of mobile users. I'm bored with too, that's why I don't blame him. It's not a bad thing that he's bitching about , maybe that way they'll do something actually worth the price. |

The problem with that theory is that he doesn't say one bad word about Motorola. IMO, they are in far worse condition than SE and isn't making one serious attempt to revive their ailing business. SE is doing that, but all Eldar sees are bad things. What gives?
Anyway, i'm pretty sure SE doesn't give two hoots about his blabbering. If anything, they are improving themselves because the shareholders are pissed off. |

Like i said,anything is possible, Nokia fool around with the audio a lot eg. N95-8gb and N82 run the same DSP but the audio quality is different, N82 is quite and the bass just isnt deep yet N95-8gb is loud with lots of bass but still not so clear. Same with the N79 and N85 etc. . . .
