@junz: of course it can be done. I've flashed my c702 with the main only before.
@pablof: did you tru topsony.com?
@tranced I did it, CDA/SEUS trick, now I have western-europe on my g705. It's a great phone IMHO. GPS/Push E-mail/3G web surfing + WiFi!!! GreaT!
I have some issues however, I have WiFi at home, and when at home, it connects to the WiFi network, but GPRS symbold (little planet earth) is still on. So I'm not sure that as soon as I connect to a WiFi network, that all trafic is routed through the WiFi. Most of the time, it takes almost 3 hours for the GPRS icon to disappear, and then and only then I'm confident that all trafic is routed through WiFi... Any ideas?
I don't want to use a bogus APN account for internet settings solution.
Thanks! |

Ok, I'm completely new at this and I'm looking at some really weird steps. Let's say that I want to debrand my C510a and THEN I want to update it and install the regular SE firmware using SEUS (Which is the main reason I'm debranding it, SEUS won't let me update it even though I have an old firmware).
What steps exactly do I need to follow? Do I need to find one of those custom firmwares or can I skip that altogether and connect my phone to the SEUS immediately after debranding the phone?

SEUS, according your CDA, will update your phone. As your your CDA is from telcel, i believe SEUS doesn't think there is an update for this region. You can blame Telcel for this.

Yes but shouldn't debranding allow me to get rid of Telcel's firmware and update my phone via SEUS normally? Or do I need to download and install custom firmwares first? |

yes, debranding will get those telcel's stuffs off your phone. and you will be able to update your phone whenever there's an update for your phone through SEUS.

Thanks, tranced. Can you give me an answer on these particular questions though? -- Will I need to install a custom firmware after debranding it or can I just skip this altogether and go straight to SEUS after debranding it?

yes, you will need the custom. if you dont do it you will be seeing the "configuration error" problem

Does anyone know how I can debrand SE W705u? I used the cda program and started SEUS to update the firmware but it says that I already have the newest firmware. I'm from Norway and my phone has the Nordic firmware |

@WinniePooh: you should be able to debrand it by using a w705 generic firmware.
