Still no stock in Phones4U sheffield. The sales staff have no idea when it may come in. Annoyingly they have them in for Contracts.
Initially i was told they had them in on PAYG, only when i actually asked him to reserve one for me did he go and check. |

Walking through city centre this afternoon and its advertised in a lot of stores.
The facebook app looks quite good, though not seen it in action yet.

its advertised in a lot of stores but actually getting hold of one on o2 payg at a reasonable price is impossible.
Carphone warehouse do it for £199 but i don't want it that much  |

I'm actually quite surprised at how well it performs, although knowing what my friends are doing everytime i look at the phone makes me feel like a stalker or something... |

I thought that is what it was for.
Mobile facebook [m.facebook.com] is such a chore to use and its great to see this taken a step further with the C510, although I think some people spend too much time on Facebook as it is.

play.com are doing it for £149.99 delivered sim free - CPW price is stupid!!
But still want it at the phones4u price!!

i'd like it sim free with no branding as may move to another network but i think i'll try and get it at Phones4U if they ever get it in stock
The guy in the shop said that most deliveries start down south and it takes ages for the northern stores to get the latest phones! |

i assume he meant London stores get the latest phones first, i'll keep trying.
Although in the meantime some of the touch screen phones are taking my fancy! |

Just a little update on the Phones4U stock:
I work at 2020 mobile (formally Caudwell Group). We are the people who distribute the phones for P4U (and most networks, shops). I work as an analyst for the warehouse operation, so i get to see detail on everything that happens from goods-in to dispatch. I can confirm that 2,000 C510 handsets were delivered from SE at our warehouse on Monday which are destined for P4U stores.
So you should start seeing these as soon as the orders are in from each individual store (they will most likely have at least a few in stock by Monday). I can't tell you which stores will be getting them though, they should really be available online already.
