Yes, I noticed it was in at CPW. At very agreeable prices as well to be honest. A lot of handset for the money.
But with an average 8 seconds per photograph with its 8MP Camera, I think I'll wait for the C905. It's just the usual slow Samsung Camera interface. |

8 seconds! I thought it had some sort of a multi-shot feature too. How long does it take for the cam to start up?

I would not be too much sure about the 8 seconds...we’ll see...

I quote Mobile Review directly:
Camera UI speed
"The i8510's camera isn't particularly speedy - it takes around 2-4 seconds to focus and the whole shooting sequence takes roughly 8 seconds (from the moment it starts focusing). For example some smartphones and communicators will let you take two shots during the same times pan, while most digital cameras will focus, process and render all photos almost momentarily."
Like I've said before in this thread, you might as well sit there and DRAW the pic! It's the same with all Samsung Phone Cameras. They focus very slowly, and then have the lag after the shutter is pressed.
The C905 will at least take a pretty quick picture. It works more like a real camera would.

Yes, i have read it, but MR hasn’t tested the final product, maybe it could be different...
I prefer a camera a little more slow but with better quality, from what we can see Innov8 win compared to C905.

Yes the quality is very good, but judging from every Samsung I've used the speed will not increase. The speed experienced is typical of all Samsung Camera Phones.
Can't understand you wanting a slow camera though. I'd rather a camera have slightly lower quality but take a picture when I need it taking, not when it gets round to it!
For example, you would never be able to capture pics of your kids or pets with it. By the time it has focused, they've got bored and moved! It's kind of the whole POINT of a camera.
But hey, each to their own. I wouldn't buy it just because of that. It would be far too irritating to use.
'Aww look Fido is soooo cute! Quick, take a picture!'
'Okay. I'll use my new Samsung Innov8 camera phone for this...loading...loading...okay shutter has opened now. OKay, focus....focus..............FOCUS.............and Click! Err.............'
'Whats it doing?'
'Oh it's okay it has taken it after all. 3 seconds after pushing the button. Why is my picture lacking in Fido?'
'Oh dear he seems to have fecked off while we were waiting for the camera to do something.'
Unless your Pets are dead it kind of sucks. |

8 seconds thats poor. I seen a big poster today advertising this phone in Carphonewarehouse window today. UK's first 8 mega pixel camera phone. Yeah 8 mega pixels that takes 8 seconds. :-S |

Or friends maybe? Well if you are one of those peeps on here who hasn't sniffed another lifeform in 5 years, then I'm sure this is the camera for you.

It's still better to have a slow phone which produces good pictures, than a fast phone that takes horrible pictures. |
